Authenticate This Cole Haan

Hi, y'all. I'd registered long ago but I don't think I posted. Please tell me if this is an old Cole Haan. I liked the colour. The seller 'guarantees' the authenticity.

It's a pretty colour. I also bought a couple of used Brahmins over the past few months. I KNOW Brahmins and Koobas (my fave bags for now), don't know Coaches or Cole Haans, which seem to change stylings a LOT.

Both bags are authentic. It's the Cole Haan Triple-Zip from a few years ago. I have one in the large and love it--although it's very big. The small is very small I think. They're great bags.
Can you help me authenticate this wallet? It's the Cole Haan Genevieve Travel Wallet in Saddle.
What really confuses me is the fact that I don't think it is made of real leather. It doesn't smell like leather, the material is really thin and stiff and the surface feels a bit too smooth to be leather.

I bought a Cole Haan leather bag at such an incredibly low price that after I had bought the bag, I began to have doubts about the bag's authenticity. To allay my fears about the possibility of having been "cheated," I took pictures of the bag, exterior and interior, even focusing on the rings and tags, and sent them to this website. today i am the luckiest eBay buyer because I got an email from them, saying that the bag i bought is authentic. they even identified the model and the year it came out.
I suggest you do the same.

I went to Lord & Taylor today and looked at the gold one and it just seemed a LOT softer then this one....everything else was exactly the same though, down to the last detail...

This is the first time I've purchased a bag that I suspect might be a fake and it is devastating! I almost feel as though my house has been robbed - or that my underwear drawer has been searched! It is a really wierd feeling!
Here's my story: I have purchased bags from E-bay and also locally, from friends and acquaintances...I recently purchased an off-white Cole Haan Huarache triangle bag and think it is a fake (from e-bay). The wooden handles were covered in a light foam-like covering and all of the zipper pulls were covered in plastic...This seems odd to me. There wasn't an authenticity card, but the seller said that the bag was sent new, never used...you would think that the authenticity card would be provided, no?
If there is someone out there who could tell me how Cole Haan presents its handbags for sale (ie, are they shipped inside of their protective bag or not? Are zipper pulls covered in plastic, etc.) it would be greatly appreciated!!
Needless to say, I'm feeling horrible and, at this point, feel as though I'll only ever buy bags directly from the company or from a reputable department store...Trying to save money in the world of handbags is risky business!!!

I've purchased from the Cole Haan outlet and have never experienced anything like what you received but that does not necessarily mean that it's for sure a fake. I would message Cole Haan directly and see what they say.
