Authenticate This Cole Haan

I have never heard of a Cole Haan being faked either (but I suppose there is always a first time). I recently ordered a Saddle Small Box Satchel directly from them, and although everything (zipper pulls, handles) was encased in tissue, the only thing covered with plastic was the long tassle on the zipper pull. There was no "authenticity card" but there was a mfg tag attached with the description and price on it. The sleeper bag was folded in the bottom of the box.

I also ordered a Keaton Dome Bag from Bluefly (about 2 yrs ago), and nothing was encased in plastic there either - just tissue. Again, no card of authenticity, and the sleeper was folded in the box. I hope this info helps you.

I've got eight or nine Cole Haan bags. None of them have an "authenticity card" and one of them that I ordered from their website had everything wrapped in tissue.

Since the handles are wooden, it makes a little bit of sense to me that they were wrapped with foam... again, I've bought Cole Haan from *bay too and never had any problems with authenticity issues. The dustbag is usually folded in the box or inside the purse, depending on where you bought it from.

A little late, but I think it looks OK. I've bought stuff from this seller before too. I've got several CH bags, bought directly from CH and online, and never had any problems with authenticity. I've never really heard of it being faked before.

Thanks so much to all of you for replying - you've really put my mind to rest! I was worried that my lovely Cole Haan bag was "too good to be true" for the mere $150 I paid for it. It sounds like my handbag was just well-packaged (which I can now appreciate!).

I can't believe how much knowledge there is on this forum! It is just amazing!!!!
Thanks again:-)

They are a great resale value (and actually a great value period). I just sold one today that I was no longer using.

Hi :-)

Just my opinion, I would never recommend buying this bag.

The photo may or may not be of a genuine Cole Haan bag but the photo is a stock photo.

Too much money for me to trust the bag for sale is in hand and real.

Best of luck :-)

It could be an outlet exclusive. I have a village collection bag but made for outlets. The leather isn't as nice on those but it is still a nice bag. I agree with annstnt to ask for a real photo and maybe a pic of the receipt.
