Authenticate This Cole Haan

I don't know if fake Cole Haans exist - though there's fake almost anything, usually it's not worth the mass production of fake goods unless it's a really popular brand like Coach etc. That is a mighty sweet bag, though - I love the wide handle and the color.

I think you'll have to go with your gut when you see it: does the leather feel right, etc. Good luck!

it looks real to me. they had this style a couple of years ago. I have a cole haan bag with the same design but a hobo. this looks like the matching wallet (from bluefly.com):

I don't know much about cole haan, but the purse I have (which I bought from Neiman Marcus) has the exact same dust bag. Not to say that proves anything.

I've definitely seen that style of CH before.

Also, I've never seen or heard of a fake Cole Haan. They don't seem to be as 'popular' as some brands out there (for example, D&B), so that usually makes it less likely that fakes exist....

I haven't seen any Cole Haan fakes, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. I purchased my Cole Haan off of eBay and it had the same dust bag. My bag was definitely authentic. That is an awesome handbag. You'll have to post pics when it arrives.

Check ioffer.com for fake coach purses as a reference. If they make it as a fake, it will be on there. I use it as a reference tool of sorts.

I doubt there is fake Cole Haan, but I would check

Don't know about this style but I have a couple of Cole H. big totes that are my constant companion- errand-running day bags (think they are called Paige Core Totes?) .. liked the tan one so much, I found a black one on eBay and bought that. ...my point is, look at the lining .. CH linings are nicely done usually in that sturdy nylon/twill fabric .. that might help you evaluate the bag.

Sooooo I got my Cole Haan today.....


Ohhh myyy gawwssshhhh... it is GORGEOUS! It is the Village Novelty shoulder bag... brand new with tags... all mine for *drumroll please* $90! Can you believe that! I can't believe how soft the leather is... this purse is sooo to die for.

So now, for all you lovely experts... is this just a fall bag? I'm kinda new to the seasonal purse world... so I want to make sure I'm properly educated.

Oh I attached a pic I found online since my USB cable for my camera grew legs and walked out of the house... LOL

It's beautiful! In my mind you can use that all year long. It's a neutral color that goes with everything. If were a pastel or white, I might say spring/summer only. I might not be the best to ask though. Because if I'm loving a bag, I use it as much as I want regardless of the season!

yay! congrats on your bag. i would say this bag could be used in the fall as well as spring/summer. I probably wouldn't carry it in the winter...something about the embroidery makes it not very wintery to me.

i've never heard of fake cole haan bag since it's not a "got to have" status designer. the bag in itself is really nice. Cole Haan are bags worth every dollar.
