I don't see any problems with the bag but the creed has some anomalies. The "I" month code wasn't supposed to be used, but sometimes mistakes were made. However, this plant had been operating for a long time by 1998 and were probably less likely to make this kind of mistake. The creed has an extra dash after "No." and no dash between the numbers of the creed. Again, we see this on some authentic creeds, but the creeds I've seen for this plant don't have these anomalies. So, it is probably authentic, but given the seller's track record, I don't know if I would take a chance.

Hi again. I bought this bag off Ebay and I was wondering if you could tell me something about it? The serial number is C06J-10107. The measurements are 7.5" long, 3 wide, & 8" tall. I Googled the style number and not much came up on it just that it was sold at some point a discounters online but did not give info on it. Thanks!

It might be ok. The other numbers match the three photos of *8B- creeds in my files, including the details of the underlined "o" in "No" which is just a bit more rounded than usual. The Coach logo at the top is the same too. Maybe someone got confused or just didn't listen to instructions and switched the dashes along with messing up the month code. Pics below.
The problem, of course, is the seller.

Are you looking at style 1434?
If so, it could be lighting, flash or soiling that might make one bag's colors look different from another.

This is slightly OT, but the patchwork pattern on the wave bags is slightly different from many other patchwork bags.
Some bags have front and back with identical pattern placement.
On the wave bags, the front and back are mirror images of each other,
