That's my fault. When I wrote the Coach Italy Guide, every Dakota I'd seen up until then had a Made in Italy creed. My mistake, and I apologise. If the correction system for the Reviews and Guides ever gets de-bugged I'll see if Salearea can make the correction.

They're both genuine bags from the Gramercy line - Gramercy Satchel and Gramercy Top Handle. Coach never called it a Kelly Bag although that's the generic name for that style, but I think Hermes actually has the "Kelly Bag" name trademarked.

I didn't realize how much I use the tPF and desperately rely on you amazing authenticating ladies until this weekend! I was virtually paralyzed with panic I had single-handedly broken tPF, or , worse, BANNED! lol

The bag looks good.

Another thing I noticed about TPF being down is that my Inbox was much cleaner, free of all the update emails it usually fills up with. Actually, it was kind of nice!

I have purchased a Coach crossbody purse from a secondhand shop and I am wondering if it is actually authentic. The stamp inside & outside are both printed on a metallic finish material. It is a cloth bag, not leather. The serial # is D1026-15590.

Here are the photos I have :

It looks fine. It's a Poppy Groovy. It originally came with some fancy hangtags.

My friend knows I love Coach products and picked these up at Salvation Army for me. The purse does not have any external Coach markings, only an embossed logo in the inside flap. The checkbook/wallet is the same. At first, I discounted them both as fake, but something I can’t dismiss is the quality. The purse leather is soft and very high quality. The stitching and craftsmanship is perfect. These are both really nice leather items. The wallet looks really old and beat up, which is a look that I love, but boy did it hold up. If they are fake, I’ve never seen such nice ones. So I thought I would post them and ask about them. I can’t find anything like them on ebay. They don’t have the familiar tell-tale signs of a coach. I was wondering if maybe they are just really old. It does seem really classy and vintage to have a label hidden on the inside and not plastered all over for the world to see. Is there something I should look for to help verify? I would appreciate your input on these.

The first three photos are of a small red crossbody bag. The last 3 are a man’s checkbook wallet.
