genuine compact pouch.
We need pictures of the creeds of all the bags. The style numbers will be in the creeds. If these are listed online, post a link to the listings if they are public.I don't have the greatest pictures of these bags but I am hoping you can help me out with authenticating these, I have asked the seller for additional pics. If anyone knows the models that would be great too, so I can get a better idea on size of the bag.

You're welcome! I'm glad too!Thank you! So glad y'all are back online!!
Wow. Thank you for the information. Just so I can learn, can you tell me why you think they are real? The red bag might have been considered a wallet with a strap than an actual bag. I believe it is authentic. It is probably from the 90s.
You're welcome. I've seen both of those styles before. I bought a similar wallet at a thrift store. It is hard to authenticate wallets since there are fewer details for counterfeiters to make a mistake on and there isn't a creed, which counterfeiters often get wrong. But on the other hand, there aren't many counterfeits of these styles.Wow. Thank you for the information. Just so I can learn, can you tell me why you think they are real?
It looks good. What about this Carly? It is on my local craigslist I have never been able to get the link to work successfully, so here it goes....

Why do you think J4D is no good? If the D plant was active in 1994, and it was, then it would have been operating during that month. Same thing for J4C. Just because counterfeiters seem to favor the J month code doesn't mean that there aren't authentic bags with those prefixes. I don't have any fake J4C creeds in my files.
Generally I find that there are usually other mistakes in the creeds if the bag is counterfeit. Usually the font is off. A lot of counterfeits use the wrong font, such as this one and the one in this listing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-NAPPA...4-/271681815500?ssPageName=ADME:SS:SS:US:1120
Most 1994 creeds still use the old style wording and have the "made in..." line across the bottom.
Thank you!The first two J4C's below are genuine. the other two are fake. Notice the different sizes of the dash between the 2 halves of the serial and the length of the underscore in the "No" The fourth creed has a bunch of other problems too.
Thanks Hyacinth. Delay in my reply due to the maintenance outage.
My friend knows I love Coach products and picked these up at Salvation Army for me. The purse does not have any external Coach markings, only an embossed logo in the inside flap. The checkbook/wallet is the same. At first, I discounted them both as fake, but something I cant dismiss is the quality. The purse leather is soft and very high quality. The stitching and craftsmanship is perfect. These are both really nice leather items. The wallet looks really old and beat up, which is a look that I love, but boy did it hold up. If they are fake, Ive never seen such nice ones. So I thought I would post them and ask about them. I cant find anything like them on ebay. They dont have the familiar tell-tale signs of a coach. I was wondering if maybe they are just really old. It does seem really classy and vintage to have a label hidden on the inside and not plastered all over for the world to see. Is there something I should look for to help verify? I would appreciate your input on these.
The first three photos are of a small red crossbody bag. The last 3 are a mans checkbook wallet.

Thanks, Janet
The wallet looks authentic. It's hard to pinpoint when it was made. It could be anytime from the 1980s to the early 2000s. To authenticate the red bag, I'd like to see the entire label on the inside and any stamping on the snap.
I found a post of yours in the identify thread for the same wallet where you didn't know the style number. Thanks for the information. The red one is an Envelope Swing Wallet, style 4873, made around 1996
That was another thing working against the briefcase--the font was more similar to the fake in that auction than any of the authentic ones that I've found. Why do you think J4D is no good?
