I agree with Whateve, the Patricia's Legacy is fake. The whole inside pocket and zipper package is wrong. And the seller is deceiving potential buyers by listing her Coaches as Bonnie Cashin bags. She often doesn't even bother to show a creed photo either.

Thank you,for warning against buying from this seller!! I was amazed how expensive her bags are, not even rehabbed., then I noticed she never shows the creed, and almost always lists as Bonnie Cashin Vintage Bags..I don't normally contact buyers, but...I was not rude , and I honestly,didnt notice the J8Y right away. I was looking up prices for my 2 Patricias (rehabbed) when I saw that list! I wrote to her that the bag would be from 1998, and if she wants more info on creeds & dates she could google it.. Meanwhile, Thank you for looking at her ebay site.. how long does it takes for ebay to pull listings? I'm worried she is going to sell some of her fake bags! If she wants to come after me.. Yes, the creed is wrong for that plant. The font is too thick. The numbers are too close together. I believe it is fake.

Debbieb208(ebay) has an etsy store too..called "GUTSYGIRLS"..anyone care to take a peek at her 64 Bonnie Cashin bags? BTW, ebay removed poor "I'm not Patricia"..What is etsy policy on selling fakes or "items not as described" ?? I have seen etsy listings that say "Designer Inspired" "COACH Era Bags" and
"COACH INSPIRED" I don't know if that is kosher, but at least they are not calling them authentic...

The black Willis is fake.

The letters in the creed are NOT from a genuine Coach stamp. Many shows differences in size and shape for the same letters, like the "...tic" at the end of characteristic where the last three letters are squeezed into a too-small space. The fonts are a hodgepodge of different sizes from the very wide Cs, Gs and Os to the skinny Ss and Ts. The H plant doesn't seem to have existed in 1999, and the genuine 1998 H plant serial numbers had completely different sizing, spacing and formatting than this one. The serial number wasn't stamped by a rotating stamp. Did that Willis get removed? I can't find it, or should I check Etsy? Do you have a link for her Etsy listings?

There's a fake E9H-9966 here, with a stamping mark showing a "border" all around the entire serial number and a REALLY badly stamped inside pocket with the whole creed crooked and off-center

The padding on the turnlock tab doesn't look right and the creed stamp is waaaaay off center. It looks almost like the end of the dowel has been painted, it doesn't look like smooth leather.

She's being super sneaky and not showing any readable creeds on most of her Etsy Coaches. I wouldn't trust GutsyGirls or DEBBIEB208 as far as I could throw her.

Unless Etsy has changed their rules, members aren't supposed to be selling any mass-manufactured items less than 20 years old. Calling them "vintage" or "Bonnie Cashin" doesn't mean they meet that requirement. If they still have that rule, she's in violation with most of her Coaches and Dooneys. And Etsy DOES remove fakes, unlike cesspools such as Listia.

Next time you're planning on going there, print out the URLs of the Salearea Guides, especially the one on Authenticity Guides and tell them to read them carefully instead of depending on so much bad information..

Thank you hyacinth!! It was crazy....I showed them your comments AND the catalogue page clearly showing the number of grommets and a listing of the colors. Visual evidence was not enough proof. Instead I should have provided a document from coach through the authentication service they don't offer. Go figure!! If I had even one other consignment or thrift store to get bags I would certainly avoid this place.

I own a pre-Creed smooth leather watermelon tote with the same Coach stamp as the Suede one. The one pictured in this listing looks identical to mine with the exception of the zipper pull and maybe the zipper. My watermelon tote with Coach stamp has a shorter zipper pull that is glued together, not stitched.

I think the zipper and/or zipper pull has likely been replaced on the bag in the listing.

The Coach cartouche looks the same as my pre-creed watermelon tote as well. Re the zip pull, I think it may be the same as mine. I have been trying to get an answer about it too. Mine is the one in the bottom left of this pic. I took the leather tab off and turned it around so that it looks like the one in the top right pic.

I was trying to find out if it is the 'paper clip' zipper pull that is referred to in the Sacs Mag guide (in the 1960's - 70's paragraph at the bottom) but have had no answer yet.

I haven't had much luck getting Etsy reports acted on but I do reported the ebay fakes from debbieb208 (on ebay).

I'm certainly not going to patronize GutsyGirls on Etsy either.

I don't think you can. I've tried to find a place to report but as far as I can tell, you can't unless you are part of the transaction. And I see nonvintage stuff on etsy all the time. I don't think they ever remove it.
