I don;t think that bag was originally light gray, it's very faded and beat up and the leather doesn't look as if it's even been conditioned. It was probably black or at least that dark Flannel Gray whan it was new.

This is JMHO but debbieb208 and gutless girl's response to having been called out is further reason for me to avoid her and certainly not recommend her as a seller either on ebay or on Etsy. (I haven't checked Bonz yet so I don't know whether she sells there. )

Although it's a seller's responsibility to know items are authentic before listing them, we're all human and capable of errors. It's one thing for an honest seller to mistakenly and unknowingly list a fake. It's quite another for a seller to lie and claim that she had items authenticated by Coach when it didn't happen.

There have been other sellers who have joined TPF after having been caught (unknowingly) with a fake. Perhaps debbieb208 needs to join too.

I totally agree, we are all human & make mistakes, but blatant evasiveness & dishonesty don't go very far. I just reported the 2 bags Hyacinth found on ETSY. Fake Patricia & Willis....I'm actually shaking..that was nerve wracking! I do hope she takes the information with more than a grain of salt..and perhaps someone (not me, I'm going to have to watch my back!) invites her to join TPF !!.I hope Etsy keeps my identity anonymous..anyway, its done, I hope I saved someone from Getting Burned...now I need a drink..LOL!!

I happily got my money back and some extra....however, I am not happy that the SA didn't WANT to understand what proved it fake. Thanks so much. Yes I see what you mean--now that I look more closely at the photos I see the poor condition and there is much inconsistency in color from photo to photo. Definitely passed on this one.

I hope it helps! she has already sold at least one fake bag ~ if you look at her Items Sold profile on ebay. But "the lady doest protest too much" She may try to relist, but even if the bags were genuine, ETSY seems strict about their 20 year = Vintage rule. I reported one listing to ebay yesterday & it was removed..today I reported 2 bags that Hyacinth deemed fakes on etsy...The others 60 plus bags she has listed? Please be careful buyers... Take Care Y'all!!

Could someone please authenticate this Coach Leatherware bag?
Bought at Goodwill yesterday...it was "Leatherware Day" for me!
Approx. 9.5”w x 6.5”h x 2”d Strap drop 21”
I'm guessing it's a Spectator Compartment Bag (I have one in red #9850)...yes?
Would love to know age (I still get confused on which is older xxx-xxxx or xxxx-xxx)
and style# (spectator city bag is 6790, regular is 9790, so is this 6850?)
