OMG! Their customer service must be atrocious!

However why do buyers leave neutral feedback for things like "it's a good gift for mom"; "I am am very like it"; "Return item, husband already purchased one"; "Return product too small"; "Had to return it, larger than expected" and my favourite "this same bag was on sale two weeks later for a much lower price"
It is so true that the same bag will be "on sale two weeks later for a much lower price." This is standard operating procedure with Coach Factory sales. We just discovered that during the same sale (on Coach's website, not on ebay) that different people were seeing different prices. I was one of those that got the higher prices.

Also their shipping is incredibly slow. I ordered something on Monday, I didn't get the shipping confirmation until Thursday, and it isn't scheduled to be delivered until Thursday the 21st, so it is typically around 10 days to get from Florida to California. Compared to any other ebay seller, Coachfactory is the slowest. I can send a priority mail package from California to Florida and it gets there in 2 or 3 days. Coach has a contract with UPS and uses the slowest, cheapest shipping option possible for their factory orders. But if you don't order the minimum $150 to get free shipping, it costs $10 to ship except for one or two small items that might only cost you $5. (I ordered 2 keychains and the shipping was $5; if I added another keychain to the order, the shipping jumped to $10.) If you order something from the FP store, it only takes 3 days at the most, and sometimes they will overnight it.

Another problem is that they never show enough views of the items and don't have thorough enough descriptions. I've bought totes that I didn't know had separating zippers which I hate. I've learned to look at other ebay sellers of the same item to learn more about the item. At least once they had two seemingly identical items with different style numbers, and people had to order both to figure out which one they wanted.

Their clothing and shoe sizes are not standardized. One time you can wear an 8 in a shoe and the next time a 6, so unless you have previously tried on the shoes, you really don't know what size to order.

And yet, I keep ordering!

I think my post got overlooked

Can anyone shed some light on this? I want this style bag but don't know which creed is authentic.

Authenticate this bag- confused about style numbers

I am in the market for the large sequin Maggie Sophia from a few years ago.... From the research I have done it came in two sizes 15945 (smaller) 15940 (larger) but ebay has a large one listed with 16271, is it real or fake? Now I am confused does anyone know the real style number to the big Maggie?

Here is the listing.

Comments: Seller has an atrociously counterfeit kate spade for sale, so I'm pretty sure I already know the answer about this one, too. However, could someone tell me if it's authentic? Thanks!!!

EEEEEYYYEEWWW! That horrible printed Op Art C lining is the stuff of nightmares! Also too many Coach stamps on the hardware especially the handles' D-rings and on EVERY bleedin' rivet. Strap clips are a style never used by Coach, the serial number is totally bogus and missing the entire first half and all the plant and date codes, and the fabric pattern and colors are fake too.

If no one here answered that's probably because no one knows. And it's not unusual for Coach to use the same style name over and over again for different styles and style numbers.

From what I can see they're totally different bags, the 16271 is shown as 17 inches wide and is called the Extra Large and the 15945 as anywhere from 12 to 14 inches wide. When you look at the photos, it's obvious that they're different sizes.

It doesn't help either that some sellers apparently can't even figure out which one they're selling. One Completed listing shows "Madison Op art Sophia Black/Silver Sequin 16271" in the listing title but the price tag in the photos clearly shows style number 15945 AND the seller is showing photos of both including a photo of the 16271 AND the description of that style stolen from Coach's webpage. Wonder which one the buyer will get?

So it looks like your research missed something. None of the listings seem to be calling it a Maggie either. And whoever copied the information from Coach's website got part of it wrong (and everyone who copied the FIRST copier's information also got it wrong!) or Coach posted the wrong information because the first paragraph of the description sounds like the New City Willis and not the 16271 since I don't see any signs of a turnlock OR a dowel.
This refined east-west design was inspired by the elegantly elongated City Willis
in our company archives and, like the original, assembled by hand from start to finish.
Updated with rounded corners and intricate bombé detailing,
it retains the turnlock closure,
dowel detail and detachable crossbody strap of its predecessor.

Too bad sellers can't describe what they're actually selling instead of copying it blindly from somewhere else. Good luck finding a seller who cares about accuracy and has it listed correctly and with the right description.

Comments: I really like this type of tote and I really want this but is it authentic? The listing style number does not match the actual picture of the creed. I wonder if this was a mistake. Is the size listed the correct size for the bag?
Bag height: 10

Thank you, sorry I meant madison.

Style 15945 is the smaller bag, I was just confused because I am looking for the larger one. I have seen both 15940 and 16271 used are both staing they are 17 inches. I tried to look through old posts on there to figure it out.

Sorry, was just hoping maybe someone knew which creed was right so I don't make the mistake and purchase a fake.

I'm not sure of the differences in the styles/style numbers but the bag you've asked about, item 111397077238, looks fine.

Please report... and also report his fake kate spade! :) Thank you!

I am sorry, I didn't word it all quite right, long day yesterday.

I want the 17in larger version of the bag, and I am finding listings with 15940 and 16271 both claiming to be the same dimensions.

I am trying to figure out which creed is correct. Was hoping maybe someone in this forum knew or had the bag personally to verify. :smile1:

If it were me, I'd definitely put the seller on the Hot Seat and ask her why the description doesn't match the serial number in the photos. The bag in the seller's photos IS a style 378 which Coach lists as a Hamptons Weekend Patchwork Tote - I can't find Coach's measurements but I'll accept the sellers. Style 1481 is a Hamptons Weekend Patchwork SMALL Tote, measurements 8x8 inches. BIG difference!

Pictures of both are below, the 378 on top and the 1481 on the bottom. The pictures aren't to scale but you can see how much bigger the 378 is just by looking at the proportions of the bags compared to the leather hangtags and the Coach Leatherware patches above the front pockets.

BTW, the bag in the listing is genuine.

Please read post 6340 again, it explains that some idiot sellers can't figure out which one they're selling and don't have the brains to compare the description they stole from ANOTHER idiot seller to the bag they're actually selling.. Don't EVER assume that the information, name, description, style number, date of manufacture, date of original purchase, original retail price or place of purchase or even the measurements posted in a listing are correct, ESPECIALLY when sellers can't be bothered to do their own work. Style 16271 is the largest one.
