They both look ok. The Pocket Purse is one of those classic styles that Coach brought back every few years, just like the Stewardess.

I was looking for a patent Sabrina. I don't know if the lining ever came in this color. Something about this looks off to me. Thank you ladies!!

The metal hangtag is DEFINITELY fake, the strap clips don't look right where the swivel part is, the proportions of the creed stamping are wrong with too little space at the top and too much at the bottom, the "F0873-" serial prefix is very common in fake Sabrinas, the creed stitching especially in the corners is wrong, the crinkles in the creed patch are common in fakes, and the creed font is also just a bit too wide compared to the real ones.

In fact the long strap and clips are totally wrong, compare it to this genuine one:

Hello - was looking at this British Tan Willis and wondering if it is real? The style number and other numbers aren't correct, if fact, seller has a whole blurb about how this is a pre-1994 bag, which is why the style number is different. I know that generally, the older this style of bag, the better the leather - would this then be SUPER DUPER thick leather?

Thank you for looking.

While I'm flattered that the seller quoted the Guide that I wrote for Salearea, I'm not comfortable with one of the details on that bag. The seller is right about pre-1994 creeds not including the serial numbers, BTW - I suggest you readthos eGuides yourself:

And the oldest that bag could be is 1993 so no, it's not super-duper thick leather.

The leather part of the turnlock tab assembly isn't right. Not only is the color obviously different, but the part sewn to the front flap should be padded and "pillowed" above the turnlock and it's not. It's possible that piece was replaced but it wasn't replaced by the correct tab so either it was a repair done by someone other than Coach, or it was a sloppy repair job by Coach themselves.

Either way, it may be genuine but it's definitely not in original condition.

Thank you Hyacinth. It is such a relief to know that I'm not swinging out there on the vine by myself when trying to find older bags. You provide not only a much-needed service, but a much-appreciated one! I will pass on this bag, another one will come along. Have a great rest of your weekend!

It's genuine, made in 1995
Hi Hyacinth:

I just searched online trying to find any copley bag cheaper than the one i showed previously and found this one has the same serial number I4E-4414, which means the two bags must be produced from the same company. However the words on the stamps are different, it has "made in Italy" on the bottom separately. Can you help me to check a little bit?

It looks like I was unable to download a pic from ebay. There is a pic in the list to show the detail of the stamp.
