Is this a real Beekman? It has the outlet bullet on the creed so I assume it was sent there when this style was discontinued. The leather is in very good condition!

Creed number M7C-5266

Thank you so much! I went through it, it helped a lot! BTW, Hyacinth did you happened to be familiar with vintage baldan bags. I knew it is not proper to post it here. I went through the website and found no thread or any topic related to the brand. If you happened to know something about this brand, could you help me to check one bag? I can send you by personal message since it is not proper to post it here. Thanks!

No, I've never heard of Baldan, sorry.

Hello - can you help me out with these listings? I'm thinking Of buying one of these for a rehab but know nothing of either of the styles. Do you happen to know how long the strap is for either one? I've asked the seller but haven't heard back yet. Thank you!

The first one is a 1980s Dinky Bag, style 9375, total strap length 45"

The second is a Saddlery Bag from around 1986 but neither of my catalogs lists the strap length.

Before opening the link to the listing, I read your comment about wondering whether "the lining ever came in this color." I knew before looking at the listing that the lining was going to be green and the bag would be fake.

Report away!
That's funny! I've had a few Sabrina's in my day but I knew I 'd never seen a bright green lining like that. The outside of the bag was throwing me off because I thought it looked pretty authentic.

Thanks again ladies!!

So this woman posted this purse for sale on a local swap/sell page and this conversation between her & I happened. You tell me, do I buy it or not? She's taking offers, and didn't post a solid price. It's an Isabelle, without the long strap. She says she is selling it for her mom.

Ashley : Do you have the long strap?

Ashley: Did she buy it from a coach store?

Ashley: I'll give you $30 for it, since it doesn't have the strap and it appears to be a factory reproduction of the original coach Madison Isabelle. The creed starts with an F which means it was made for the factory store(I.e. Williamsburg or gretna), not the full price store(village pointe).

Paige:She got it at village point she has the receipts and paid 300$ so your rude comments can stop NOW!

Paige:And no it did not come with a long strap it was bought at the village pointe coach store.

Ashley: I'm not being rude. But I think if I bought a purse from the village point store and it didn't come with all the straps I would be mad, and I would call the store or coach customer service and request a strap or discount

Paige: Call me at 402*******. I have more info for you.

I don't really want to call her, lol. I don't see the point in that.

It looks fake to me.

Like you noticed, waaaaay too many dashes - hard to believe that any legit Coach serial stamp would have ever had all those dashes included PLUS the extra spaces on each side of the last dash. There's also seriously damaged leather on the flap that was probably damaged before the bag was made. And there's no evidence that the J plant code was used for any US plant during that time. BUT - just on the slim chance that some nitwit actually set up a stamp like that, I'd ask you NOT to report it.

Even if it's not fake, there's no way I'd recommend buying it with that damaged leather on the flap. There's nothing that can be done to fix that AFAIK.
Okay, thanks Hyacinth.
