Hi! :) I've fallen in love with the 9790 and was hoping you all could tell me if one of these was real! Thank you so much!

Again, thanks so much!!

All three seem genuine, but I'm not sure the condition of the third one is as "good" as the seller says. It seems like there are a lot of small problems. JMO.

I received this bag last week and I am suspicious about the authenticity of this bag.

The Creed on ebay was blurry so I'm attaching it (I hope). The wording is different

It's impossible to actually read but the creed in both pictures looks like it's the same one when I compare word placement, spacing, stitching and the serial number. There's even the same lighter-colored mark halfway up the right edge of the creed. I've enlarged the seller's picture a bit to compare. There aren't any obvious problems but I don't think it's a regular Beekman though.

Maybe if Noshoepolish is around, she may know the name for that style.

What differences are you seeing?

The creed said that it is a weather resistant leather and the leather is definitely different than the Beekman that I have. The leather is thinner and the interior is fully lined, a contrast to my unlined Beekman. I like the design of this bag but it is so different from other Coach bag that I have and I haven't been able to find anything similar on the internet.

If it's not a Beekman then there's no problems because of any differences, and it's NOT a Beekman. The style numbers are different and Beekmans don't have those side pockets like this one does. It's probably a style introduced in 1997 or 1998 but I don't have a name or photo in my catalogs, and the standard Beekman style 5266 was STILL being made at the same time as this one so they're not the same bag.

The new creed wording was used for a lot of business and travel bags that were being made out of lighter-weight leathers and with linings that were coming out of the China and Thai plants in the late 90s and for a few years after, there's nothing wrong with it. Your bag is genuine and I've seen one or two others like it, we just don't have a name for it.

Thank you for allaying my concerns. I was confused because the stiching on the bag was so good that I was asking myself if it was a fake why would they go through the trouble of having such great stiching and the lining was very .

Thank you once again!
