Hi everyone,
This is my first time posting and I apologize for any mistakes. I picked up this Coach Station (I think?) at Goodwill today and was wondering if it was authentic, and if it is how old might it be? It is 9 inches across, a little over 9 inches tall, and 2 inches wide. Thank you so much for your help - here are the photos:

I would like to authenticate this navy Station Bag. Bummer I'm missing the shoulder strap, but I think it will clean up nicely.

It measures approx. 9x10x2 Thank you all for your help!

I got a little click-happy. The photos looked fine from the eBay listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261455624562?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

I received it in the mail today and I am slightly thrown off because of the zipper detail underneath.

One side of the zipper, it is encased in leather and the other side it isn't.
Here are some of my personal photos.

Please authenticate this Lunchbox Kelly Bag. Thank you in advance!

None of the other examples I can find show that area clearly but I found two different listings that show one side each. The areas on each side of the top zipper are supposed to have different types of leather, sueded natural backing + smooth. From what the other pictures show Coach sewed the fabric zipper backing ON TOP OF the natural sueded leather, but the smooth leather area was sewn so that the fabric zipper backing was covered by the smooth leather. Someone who actually owns one needs to take a look. There's nothing wrong with the creed and serial number that I can see.

This shows a bit of the smooth leather that covers the zipper backing on the "deep" side of the bag

and this shows the fabric part of the zipper on top of the "back" of the natural sued back of the leather on the "thin" side of the bag

The way the zipper is actually sewn into the opening is different on each side, so it's not surprising that the way Coach stitched each side in would be different.

Fantastic! That eases my worries a bit. The zipper part I was worried about was the second to last photo(4th). Part of my thumb is touching the cloth part of the underside zipper. While the corresponding underside zipper has the cloth sewn under leather. I've never noticed this detail in my other bags but that is because those are mainly flap bags. It just bothered me how much excess fabric there is to it and it isn't covered with leather.

Thank you again for taking a look.

It's genuine, made between around 1990 and 1993

Hey all!

I recently purchased a used coach bag and I was wondering if anyone can help me authenticate it. The images for the creed and the bag can be found at the links below.

Sorry, it's a bad fake. The style number 1236 was never used in any handbag, that tan-on-black printed C lining was NEVER used by Coach and is only found in fakes, Coach bags that have all Cs or Coach logos on the outside will NEVER have a C pattern or Logo lining, and there are other problems with the creed. And Everything on the outside is wrong, from the hangtag, the buckles, the alignment of the Cs, and the style itself which also was NEVER made by Coach. There isn't anything that looks genuine. Even the "leather" doesn't look real. Not only do real Coaches NOT start falling apart by the strap mountings after just a little use, but the back of the "leather" where it's torn looks more like vinyl to me.

Wherever you bought it, get your money back. Selling counterfeits is illegal.

Agreed, but the seller was nice enough to give a refund here. They felt badly that they're listing was showing up in Coach search even though they didn't use the word Coach, only Stewardess.
As a seller I would have done the same for a customer, even though it wouldn't have been my fault.....I just prefer happy customers.
I went back to the listing and I think I know what happened and why the item is coming up in "Coach" searches. (I'm not absolutely sure my theory is correct but knowing how ebay works, I suspect this is what's going on.)

If you look at the revision history, you'll see that the bag was originally listed as far back as February. On February 26, the seller revised the description twice. I'm willing to bet that she'd originally described the bag as "Coach" and because the item has been relisted repeatedly (as opposed to "sell similar" or as a new listing), because Coach was in the original description, it continues to come up in Coach searches.

That makes perfect sense beenburned, the seller apologized for the fact that it was coming up in the Coach search.....we did wonder why! This would explain it and is probably what happened. At no point did my sister accuse this seller (who was very nice) of trying to pawn off a bag that wasn't a Coach as a Coach. Coach was never mentioned in the listing, we just assumed and we all know that saying about assuming something.....:).
Live and learn...................
