We can't authenticate with just a creed picture. We need to also see the full front of the bag (at the very least.)

It's authentic.

oh sorry about that -.- i asked him to buy it anyway, here's more photos of the bag, need help if it's authentic and style name as well.. thanks in advance :)

Love the style of these. I know the backpack isn't Bonnie Cashin. But are either (or both) of these authentic? Can anyone help? Thanks! Two more photos below and sorry my post is so messed up. It's my first!

sorry ... can't figure out how to post more than one photo from my iPad ... (see post and photo 2nd above)

really sorry ... here's the last photo, I promise (see picture above and post 3rd above)
You don't need to include photos since they are in the listing. You only have to post photos if you have others that show more details. Ideally, there should be more photos of each bag. I don't see any problems with them. Neither are Bonnie Cashin. The older bag is a Laurel bag from the Lightweights collection from the early 90s, many years after Bonnie Cashin left Coach.

I got this one (it's in the mail), and I want to be sure that I didn't make a mistake. Seller accepts returns, but I hope not to have to return it. I know I should have asked here first, but I had no time so I went for it. These are pictures from the listing, size 10 x 9 more or less.

I don't see any problems with it. It's a saddle pouch. If you bought it from an ebay listing, you can just post the seller's name, the item number, and a link to the listing, rather than posting the photos. It is more helpful to us to see the listing, because sometimes knowing the seller is helpful. We can tell you if the seller has a good track record of selling authentic, and read the seller's description of the bag.

Are you close enough to a border city that it would be worthwhile driving down and mailing it from there?

I live not too far from Niagara so I have all my US purchases shipped to a friend's house or a US Shipping Address Service in NY and drive down and do a pick up every few weeks.

Not close enough to make it worth my while. I actually spoke to PayPal again today, and said it really rubs me the wrong way that even though I get everything back from the original purchase price including all shipping charges I am the only one not made whole from this transaction. If the seller had truthfully answered my original query about the condition of the purse the whole situation would be moot.

Sure, I get my purchase price and shipping back, the funds are taken from the sellers account and that squares the transaction but the only way I see those funds is to provide a tracking number to PayPal to verify I have shipped the item.
I said, I want you to contact the seller and at least ask them to provide a shipping label for half the cost of the return shipping to acknowledge that they are also culpable for this. Otherwise the damn purse can float around ad finitum with no loss to the seller until a buyer decides to keep it. What a crock. Not a lot of money and I'm sure people do get tired of this old adage, but it really is the principle of the whole thing.

The newer bag with the top buckle is a Cornelia Sling from 1997

Hi, my husband came across this bag at a thrift store today, he just sent me a photo of the creed. Need help if it's authentic (he told me it's in black color, leather) and what it's called. Thanks :)

oh sorry about that -.- i asked him to buy it anyway, here's more photos of the bag, need help if it's authentic and style name as well.. thanks in advance :)

It's a genuine Pebbled Leather Shoulder Tote from 2006

I'm not seeing a broken link to the creed; I'm not seeing any creed picture.

Without the creed, it's difficult to authenticate a bag but based on what I see of the other pictures in the listing, I don't see any problems.

In response to her comments, I'll say:

  • Count your blessings that this bag doesn't have markings on the rivets! If the bag had markings on the rivets, that wouldn't be good! Generally, the more "Coach" markings on hardware, the more likely the bag is to be fake. This bag should NOT marked rivets.
  • A sticky zipper indicates a zipper problem, i.e., quality problem and isn't indicative of fake
  • This is a MFF style and factory styles sometimes tend to have a thinner, lighter weight leather.
  • Some leathers aren't as fragrant as others. Again, strong leather smell doesn't prove authenticity one way or the other
As for owning many Coach bags, that doesn't make one expert.

If the buyer would like to post a picture of the creed so we can look at that, I could give a more definitive statement as to authenticity.

Please refer the buyer here.
Sorry about the creed, I don't know how I missed that as ALL my listings have clear photos of the creeds but obviously I overlooked this one. :shame:
It's not necessary now anyway, because after sending her to do some research she realized she made an error and was just disappointed with the quality.
Thank you - I appreciate your opinions and comments!!

Hey all! In need of authentication for this bag:

Item Name: Metropolis bag (I think!)
Seller (eBay): johnston2255 (I already purchased the bag, photos are from the eBay listing)
Dimensions (in inches): length = 10, height = 7, depth = 2.75, strap drop = 18 (at its longest)

Thanks for your help!

Genuine. The style was called a Camera Bag, probably made around 1986. The style number was 9760

Hi Girls,

I came across this bag today, before I contact the seller to see if it's still available I wanted to run it buy you to see if it's legit.

Item: METROPOLITAN BRIEFCASE MESSENGER LAPTOP BAG 5180?
Listing number: Ad ID 587195529
Seller: N/A

Comments: It looks like it's in pretty decent condition and the price isn't bad compared to similar ones listed on Ebay.

This is the only picture of the creed, unfortunately it's pretty blurry.

Thanks as always,

Yasmeen

It looks genuine to me.
