Is this authentic? The creed looks funny, but it would be the angle. Also is L a US plant in 1995? Please let me know! Thanks
DISCLAIMER: I don't know whether any of these are authentic or not.

I found this listing with the same J5L-9950 serial number and although I don't see the same puffiness on the creed, the font is also kind of stretched out (for lack of a better term).

This might help with comparisons.

I couldn't find another Janice bag (except the Etsy one) with the same prefix, but I found two other bags with J5L as the prefix and the fonts and spacing look very different from the orange bag and from the Etsy bag.

and the creed from ^^^^ that one:

And its creed -- notice the very different font than above AND different from the orange one:

This listing describes the J5L but doesn't show the creed:

I'm not comfortable with the stamp in the 9991 Lunch Box Zip. The prefix digits are just too close, how would a mechanism with changeable numbers be able to function when the numbers were almost touching like that? The letters in the creed stamp are much too blurry and are barely legible, and the letters in the Coach logo in the 9991 bag are still in the older "thick" font.

Also the first catalog that style 9991 appears in is the Fall 1996 book, almost a year later. The strap in the 9991 with the cramped serial numbers and blurry creed isn't original but that doesn't prove anything. There's a lot more of the fabric edging of the top zipper showing in the questionable bag than in the other ones too.

Compare the questionable creed to the one below with the "skinny" logo and crisp sharp creed fonts, the spacing of the serial digits, especially the prefix, etc. I'm using the one below as an almost 100 percent certain genuine creed and serial number for that name and date since, although most of it is out of the picture, there's an upside-down "Donated" stamp just outside the upper left corner of the creed. AFAIK, only Coach stores or Coach corporate used those stamps. If anyone knows otherwise, please post and let me know.

ETA - Just found something else while going through my photos. Below the genuine creed is one that's 100 sure to be from a fake bag, also from a 9991 style a year and a half before it was introduced, AND puffy. The creed and serial number formatting is almost exactly like the almost-sure fake J5L-9991 that BeenBurned pointed out at the end of her post number 10607. I'll put the pic of the questionable/probably fake one right under it.

Item: purple hearts keychain
Item no: 201030426228
Seller: pcfr1010
Link: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Coach-Key-Chain-Purple-Heart-Theme-/201030426228?nma=true&si=roFydmF%252FC34Ta4f4P3fWFqShEyA%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Comment: I just won this key chain to go with the early (only 2 months early!!) birthday present I won for myself. Is it authentic please?

(no need to authenticate the Soho as the seller is a tPFer, but I'll show it off anyway).

The bag is authentic.

I'm not comfortable with the keychain and I don't believe it's authentic. But please wait for other opinions.

With regard to listings that state "TPF" in them, they also should be looked at. Keep in mind that anyone can join TPF and there's no vetting to verify that they're honest. And anyone can state in a listing that they're TPF whether it's true or not.

I wanted to wait to see your comment on the lunch box tote. Now that you've discussed it, I'll point out the the seller is azuremerekat who has a long and checkered history of not properly doing her (his?) due diligence in authenticating items prior to listing them.

Yep, I noticed that too. Why doesn't it surprise me?

Check out the edits I just made, and look at the "A" in the Coach logo in the fake one's creed. The triangular opening inside the top of the A is completely missing.
