If she had any idea when the bag was made, she would might have been too embarrassed to admit she wasn't even born yet.Thank you!
I was confident in the bag, but this was the first time I have ever asked for a hangtag/talked to customer service on the phone... so I became a little insecure when she was not finding any results. I told her it was an old NYC bag but she didn't really know what to say.
I hope!I wonder if TXGAL8701 will try relisting the fake?
Sorry here is the pic
It's fake. There are many things wrong with it: it has c's inside and out, the pattern on the outside is wrong, the creed has a bunch of errors. Here is the creed
Here is the creed
With very few exceptions, Coach won't put c's on both the inside and outside of a bag. There were a few years when they used c's on the lining of leather purses but usually signature purses will have solid color lining.Does coach not put c's inside. How do I know the pattern outside is wrong cause I think that is a glare on the purse
I don't get these types of negative comments, it just makes the buyer look like an idiot: Shipping was too much (it lists the cost in the listing), didn't fit my daughter (WTF!), item was small (as you say), item was USED (stated in the listing). Some of it is pretty humorous, I get a kick out of reading some but it has negative aspects for a legitimate seller.Doing some catch up reading before I post some bags for authentication, and look what I find!!
Yes, karma is a B I T C HHHH!!!
By the way, I did not want to drag that woeful tale on, but as for the ending?
She never responded again, did not close the case but it ended on it's own when it expired.
Thank you all AGAIN for your help and support!
Now if only someone can tell me why I got two negatives in one week for item being "too small" when they were described as "small" and had correct measurements posted in two places in the listing AND this little notice in EVERY listing I post that says
"Please be aware that in the photos of the bag on the mannequin the handbag can sometimes appear larger, so be sure to check the measurements to gauge if the size is suitable for your needs."
What else can a seller do?????
It is not fair and very frustrating.ullhair:
Besides that, neither buyer ever contacted me (I accept returns for any reason)
and when I wrote them after the FB I got no responses. Sigh.
Well, on to more punishment. I have some new bags for you guys to check out. BRB.
You can call ebay and ask them to remove it. Usually they won't but it is worth a try. You can also use the "Report a Buyer" button.I don't get these types of negative comments, it just makes the buyer look like an idiot: Shipping was too much (it lists the cost in the listing), didn't fit my daughter (WTF!), item was small (as you say), item was USED (stated in the listing). Isn't there some recourse for sellers to illustrate to the eBay powers that be, that the original listing stated exactly what the buyer is now complaining about so that negative feedback can be removed? We all know that the buyer isn't always right and they need their knuckles rapped every now and then. I mean, short of writing, only buyers with IQ's higher than dull normal should bid, what's a seller to do?
Thank you! So you would not buy it? Orange is an unusual color, which you don't see that often, so I thought fakers left them alone. To a point...L is a valid plant code but that creed looks too puffy. It is impossible to say for sure without better pictures, but I wouldn't take a chance on it.
So you think it is fake? The seller did not have great pics of the whole bag, she has some up close? Plmk thank you for replyingI only have one record of the L plant being open in 1995, but those photos are so poor that there's no way I can authenticate that bag. Even at that angle, the numbers look too close together.
So it looks like a Janice legacy.. Would it be to much to ask, to ask the seller for another pic? I don't want to keep bugging herThat's probably true, but we can't authenticate effectively unless we can clearly see the creed. It takes some experimenting, but it's possible to light the creed in a Janice's Legacy well enough to get a good photo.
Thank you for replying! I know in some bags it is so hard to take a pic of the creed! One time I had to make a video on the iPad and then take screen shots of it until I got a clear one! It was annoying!Just my opinion... Could also be the lighting. I had trouble taking pictures of the creed on one of my bags. This one is how it looked when I took a picture without the flash.
No that's not true. Lots of fakes are in bright colors. I think I become even more cautious when I see a bright color. If it is orange, rather than red, I would be really wary. In 1997 and 1998, Coach made a lot of brightly colored bags. Not so much in 1995, and not necessarily in this classic style. The L factory code is very rare, which makes it really hard to authenticate. I've seen several fakes and several I'm not sure of with that factory code.Thank you! So you would not buy it? Orange is an unusual color, which you don't see that often, so I thought fakers left them alone. To a point...
