I agree that the bag is authentic.

You're welcome. As far as I can recall, Coach hasn't used lining with C's on it for many years. There isn't any bag from last year that has signature lining.

Yeah who knows why she said that then. As long as I got two confirmations, that's what I needed to know! And good to know it's a ten year old style as well.

Hi ladies.. Could anyone help me authenticate this coach. ? typing error on the stamp creed." THIS IS A COACH BAG. IT WAS HANDCRAFTED IN CHINA OF COMPIFTFIY NATURAL GLOVE TANNED COWHIDE. THE VARIATIONS IN THE GRAIN ARE CHARACTERISTIC OF NATURAL FULL-GRAIN LEATHER"
Many thanks

We've seen a few others with the same creed and also the same 3 serial number prefixes AND outlet stamp, so it was apparently a "Lost In Translation" mistake at the plant. The Chinese plants were just getting started so a few spelling and formating mistakes aren't unusual. The other mistakes we've seen have been in the same style bag too, and that's probably why they were all sent to the outlets, or maybe it was specifically made as an outlet bag. Two others are shown below.

It's a genuine Girlie Bag but I don't know the exact style name since there were at least 30 different Girlie designs, all with different fabric or leathers.

Both are authentic.

The first is correctly described as 64380.

The second is an older one, style 92288.

Oops. Didn't read ahead to see that Hyacinth's response sniped mine.

Comments: I jumped in, I saw this rare beauty and I am hoping for an ID and Authenticiation confirmation!
Wow, that is so interesting! I can't really help. I would have assumed something of this age would be a classic pouch, but the strap doesn't have the correct shape. The brass and the strap look more like the strap on my courier pouch. It is really big too!

You're welcome. There is a ton of information here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-clubhouse/coach-rehab-and-rescue-club-833400.html

Often it is hard to tell beforehand how well a bag will respond to rehab. This bag looks faded. Sometimes it is just because the leather is dry and the bath magically restores the color. I have rehabbed lots of different colors. I know everyone says black is the easiest but, for me, that hasn't been true.
Hi whateve!

No rehabbing project in the following weeks, at least for that particular bag. Sadly, I had to pass on the bag, the current bid is now much higher than I'm willing to pay. Interestingly, there were absolutely no bidders for a while, then the same day after I posted on the Purseforum for authentication..you know what happened. I wonder if someone here will be the lucky winner..but maybe it was just a coincidence and because the red leather is just lovely. I guess it's "all's fair in love and war"..and ebay. Although it's hard, I just have to wait, patiently wait, for another Court bag to come along and when it catches my eye, I'll be back here.

Thank you for all your help, whateve. I have the link bookmarked. ;)

We've discussed Listia many times and their reputation is awful. Although Listia claims to have a policy that doesn't allow the listing and sale of fakes, they don't remove listings, claim ignorance and take the word of sellers and other self-proclaimed experts deeming the POS as genuine.

I know the answer to these questions but there are some Coach experts on Listia that insist that the following listings are authentic.

Perhaps TPF experts' opinions might help. (I'm not optimistic but I hate seeing buyers ripped off!)

Although the style number is "correct" for the bag, I don't consider this bag to be authentic.

Compare this creed from skwilki10's listing:

And compare it to these authentic Carly 10619 creed. Although the pictures aren't a crisp as I'd have likes, the difference is evident:

Here's an old post from this forum regarding a similar Carly, 10620 with the same creed, same (incorrect) font and same prefix with a valid date-plant code but more often than not, seen on fakes:

I'm so sorry this happened. I've seen it happen before. That is a ridiculous amount for the condition that bag is in. Unfortunately we can't keep people from seeing the authentications. Just be patient and you'll find another one at a more reasonable price.

I agree the Carly on Listia is fake. The font doesn't match other authentic creeds for the same style or the same plant. There isn't enough of a border around the creed. The frame around the words is too close to the words, especially "quality." Coach stopped using that thick white thread to sew on creeds a long time before this bag was supposedly made. Coach was using thread that more closely matched the creed color in 2006. The corners of the creed are too rounded.
