Good Morning & Happy New Year! This is mine and just wanted to make sure of it's authenticity and what the name of the style is, if anyone knows?

8 1/2 inches tall by 8 across the top by 8 3/4 across the bottom and about 2 1/2 inches deep. Thanks much :)

It's a genuine Lindsay Bag, style 9888, probably from 1991.

Recently, I've noticed some fobs showing back up in small quantities on ebay, but something looked off about them. (And a LOT have been sold) I checked mine and looked at some older photos of the same fob that were nwt (one from tpf)..... I've included photos....what do ya'll think? Can you see the differences too? Did those two fobs just get made into a batches of fakes or did the factories make a run of really lousy quality fobs? On the heart lock one, you can't compare in the photos, but when I look at the fake looking one and mine, the Est. 1941 is not the same size.

I'd really like to see the listings, but from what I see, they all seem fine.

I think you are suspicious of the first heart lock and the first purple one, right? I agree they look a bit sloppy but I don't know whether it's the lighting, angle or if Coach is getting shoddy.

The purple one has been very well faked, though.

Other opinions are welcome.

While it's possible that some keychains that were made for the Factory stores may have had some corners cut during manufacture, the top keychain in both of those photo sets just doesn't look right.

The brass Padlock KF 93079 at the top seems to have blurry-looking stamping on the Coach logos, both on the Heart Lock charm and the small hangtag. The color also looks too brassy but that may just be the lighting or the camera settings. The blurry logos could also be the way the light is hitting the lettering, but the hangtag isn't quite the same as the genuine one in the second photo. I'm not sure if it's fake but I wouldn't buy it. Coach's pic is posted below, although the production version often isn't exactly the same as the pre=production photograph.

The purple Girlie Mix 61895 shows more obvious differences, especially the color and uneven surface of the enameled hangtag. The links in the chain also look thinner on the top one, and more oval than they do on the one in the second photo. Again, without knowing if a less carefully-made version was released for the Outlets I wouldn't be comfortable reporting it as fake, but I wouldn't buy it either. This one is more likely a fake than the first one though, that hangtag doesn't look right. Coach's pic is below.

The first heart lock has an outer screw and the ones I have are countersunk....one was purchased directly from Coach, that is how I know countersunk is/was the correct way. Then in some photos you can see where the COACH on the heart has kind of been filled in with the enamel.

They both hit eBay about the same time in a small batches from a handful of sellers.....I tend to get suspicious when that happens and they just don't look quite right. Thanks!

The screw isn't countersunk either....that was what actually caught my attention. Then I noticed too much enamel in the COACH on the heart......different photo though. It was one of the first ones on eBay and I can't remember how it was listed to find the photo. Thanks!
What I'm seeing here is one of the reasons why I (personally) find it helpful to see links to listings and the seller's other items.

Although I know that any seller can make a mistake, although I don't know the seller, I've watched the listings from the seller of the questionable purple girlie mix (61895) and although she seems to have a large quantity of keychains, I've never seen anything that jumps out as an "obvious fake."

As for the padlock (93079), the picture definitely looks too brassy and my image search for that picture didn't turn up anything on any site I'm familiar with.

That's just one reason why post number 1 of this thread lists the information we need for all authentications. Please check it out when you get a chance.

Since there's only one Patricia's Legacy in the seller's Completed listings, this must be it:

I agree, the E plant code was only used for Italy, we haven't seen any proveably genuine bags with that plant code from the US. That MAY still happen but for the moment, all US-made E plant codes are questionable at best.

I'm also wondering how the left end of the inside zipper fits into the inside pocket, sometimes the fakes get that wrong too but the seller's pics don't show that side. Can you take a photo of that side of the zipper including out to and past the left edge of the pocket?

Thank you Hyacinth. Here's a photo of the left hand side of the zipper https://db.tt/OJEz5GiE

And is this Coach sunglass case authentic?
Also from Goodwill...sadly no sunnies :(
Were these sold separately?
Any info is always appreciated...thanks in advance!
The case you bought is authentic but they have been faked.

Coach doesn't sell these cases separately; they only include them when buying sunnies and will sometimes give a replacement if you have Coach sunglasses sans case.

But although Coach doesn't sell this style of case as a freestanding item, they also sell to discounters. When Coach sells to discounters, they (Coach) send the sunnies in their cases.

Some stores like Nordstrom Rack resell the sunglasses and case as a package.

But other stores like Marshall's and TJ Maxx separate the sunnies and cases and sell each separately.

This is probably TMI, but thought I'd mention it.

It could be just the opposite. It seems like when a bunch of the same styles hit Ebay at the same time, those styles have just been at the outlets. It's the same thing with handbags.

I wish more people who buy outlet remakes of older keychain styles would post them here in the main Coach forum along with any price tags and style numbers. It would be a big help to see and compare the differences between the originals and the outlet remakes.

The first picture is a Coach stock picture and the other pictures aren't definitive enough to authenticate. Please request pictures of the interior and if there's a creed, a picture of it.
At your suggestion I emailed the seller requesting a creed photo. That was 2 days ago and I haven't received a reply. Without it, I"m going to pass but thanks for the info.

Good decision. Maybe if these sellers realize that their lack of good pictures and non-response to requests cost them business, maybe they'll change.

Hey there! I found this lady at the Goodwill yesterday for $15. I'm hoping it's real, but I'm having a hard time finding anything about it online. What do you think? Thanks!

It's hard to read, but it says NO. 801-08

It's fake. If you look carefully at the bottom of the creed text, you can see "made in Korea." Coach never made any bags in Korea. Additionally, the XXX-XX 5 digit serial numbers are always invalid.

Scroll about 1/3 of the way down in this link:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-sh...enticity-questions-94198-37.html#post18503288

"ANY Coach bag with only two letters or one number and one letter to the left of the hyphen is fake.

501-20 + all similar numbers starting with 101-, 202-, 501-, 701-, or any other group of 3 numbers with a zero in the middle, followed by 2 or 3 numbers after the dash and usually with a patch that says "made in Korea" - always counterfeit, no matter how real the leather feels.

Coach NEVER made bags in Korea and never used serial numbers with only 5 or 6 digits like this:
"xxx-xx" or "xxx-xxx" and without the abbreviated "No." in front of the numbers. Except for a few items with 6-digit serial numbers made and marked for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, Coach never used serial numbers with 6 digits or less."

Thanks! We're having a heat wave here - 14 degrees F!

And I see it's going to dip back down to minus numbers.

Never, never TMI...I saw quite a few "stand-alones" on ebay and didn't know if they were under the same rule as selling hangtags separately...Thanks BeenBurned...I have a lovely new jewelry box!

We're suffering from "weather" here too. Yesterday our heatwave rose to high 20's and tomorrow it'll go into the 30's. But it won't be long-lived as Tuesday, they're predicting a high of 17 with windchill that'll make it feel much worse.

These particular eyeglass cases are kind of a gray area. When ebay implemented the prohibited accessories policy, this case was one that was prohibited. But in the last couple of years when it's possible to purchase them, I'm not sure whether that's an arguable case.

If I had one that I wanted to sell, I wouldn't risk it on ebay. I'd take it to another site that doesn't have the restriction.

If the seller doesn't agree to a full refund, file SNAD. Whether the seller knew it was fake when she listed it or not is irrelevant. It's the seller's responsibility to KNOW that items are authentic before listing them. And if the seller doesn't know (with 100% certainty), she needs to have her item(s) authenticated.

Thank you everyone for the help. The seller is kindly is offering a refund upon return of the bag. I believe she intends to sell it again after checking into it with Coach:

Hello again,
I will refund you an extra $5.85 (the original shipping price) after I receive the Coach purse back. I'm still going to call Coach directly after I receive the purse back and have it in my hands to talk with them. I do trust the lady that I bought the purse from & know that forums are not 100% the truth. I would like to know also for when I relist the purse. After looking into it, I realized I did sell this kind of cheap so I don't mind at all that you are sending it back!

Thank you again for your assistance! From now on, I will always check here first. :smile1:

Geez!! Talk about being in denial! Seller migoods2u really needs to learn where to get credible information, who she can trust and whose "knowledge" (or lack thereof) not to trust. BTW, trusting the lady who sold it to her isn't good enough. Since she didn't personally purchase the bag from a legitimate authorized Coach store or retailer, she should have had it authenticated.

I know I'll be watching migoods2u's listings to report if and when it gets relisted! And if ebay removes the first listing and she relists anyway, she'll be putting her ebay account and future ability to sell at risk.

In a case like this where she states that she'll be relisting, it's a seller who deserves a negative feedback so the next buyer (hopefully) won't buy from her.

(And for the record, Coach is the last source I'd recommend for authenticity advice.)

For those who might have missed it, here's the listing from post #10072:
