Ok sorry I accidentally sent this before adding photos! (Using the new Purse Forum app which is great BTW)

It looks like a genuine Binocular Bag from the early 1990s. Coach did make bags with that Springlock closure for about 2 years, but the locks sometimes broke so Coach phased out that closure and went back to the standard turnlock.

It's missing the O rings on the straps...at least on this side of the bag. There's no pic of the other side/strap. I was watching it until I noticed this and don't know if it can be repaired.

I think you mean the grommets. TheO-rings look ok. I doubt if the missing grommets could be replaced, and if they were, the metal colors probably wouldn't match.

Sorry about that...wrong wording again.

What a pity and the seller hasn't even noted it in the listing!

Yes, no mention of it at all.

I'd really like to see the listings, but from what I see, they all seem fine.

I think you are suspicious of the first heart lock and the first purple one, right? I agree they look a bit sloppy but I don't know whether it's the lighting, angle or if Coach is getting shoddy.

The purple one has been very well faked, though.

Other opinions are welcome.

The first heart lock has an outer screw and the ones I have are countersunk....one was purchased directly from Coach, that is how I know countersunk is/was the correct way. Then in some photos you can see where the COACH on the heart has kind of been filled in with the enamel.

They both hit eBay about the same time in a small batches from a handful of sellers.....I tend to get suspicious when that happens and they just don't look quite right. Thanks!

While it's possible that some keychains that were made for the Factory stores may have had some corners cut during manufacture, the top keychain in both of those photo sets just doesn't look right.

The brass Padlock KF 93079 at the top seems to have blurry-looking stamping on the Coach logos, both on the Heart Lock charm and the small hangtag. The color also looks too brassy but that may just be the lighting or the camera settings. The blurry logos could also be the way the light is hitting the lettering, but the hangtag isn't quite the same as the genuine one in the second photo. I'm not sure if it's fake but I wouldn't buy it. Coach's pic is posted below, although the production version often isn't exactly the same as the pre=production photograph.

The purple Girlie Mix 61895 shows more obvious differences, especially the color and uneven surface of the enameled hangtag. The links in the chain also look thinner on the top one, and more oval than they do on the one in the second photo. Again, without knowing if a less carefully-made version was released for the Outlets I wouldn't be comfortable reporting it as fake, but I wouldn't buy it either. This one is more likely a fake than the first one though, that hangtag doesn't look right. Coach's pic is below.

The screw isn't countersunk either....that was what actually caught my attention. Then I noticed too much enamel in the COACH on the heart......different photo though. It was one of the first ones on eBay and I can't remember how it was listed to find the photo. Thanks!

Hello, I wonder if you would be kind enough to authenticate this bag?
Item: Coach Patricia's Legacy
Purchased from: http://www.ebay.com/usr/shondasboutique?_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2754
Comments: I purchased it before I discovered there were so many fakes out there. After reading your excellent guides I am fairly sure that it is probably a fake based on the creed and plant code not matching. I have other pictures of the bag if they are needed. Thank you.

Authentic, and just called a Hamptons Leather Hobo.

That's just one reason why post number 1 of this thread lists the information we need for all authentications. Please check it out when you get a chance.

Since there's only one Patricia's Legacy in the seller's Completed listings, this must be it:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Beautiful-Vintage-Coach-Patricia-Legacy-9951-Brown-Leather-Crossbody-Handbag-/201013300036?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item2ecd538b44&nma=true&si=F%252BT%252BkWj0bK1FV9mQUwb73HJuD54%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I agree, the E plant code was only used for Italy, we haven't seen any proveably genuine bags with that plant code from the US. That MAY still happen but for the moment, all US-made E plant codes are questionable at best.

I'm also wondering how the left end of the inside zipper fits into the inside pocket, sometimes the fakes get that wrong too but the seller's pics don't show that side. Can you take a photo of that side of the zipper including out to and past the left edge of the pocket?

Good Morning & Happy New Year! This is mine and just wanted to make sure of it's authenticity and what the name of the style is, if anyone knows?

8 1/2 inches tall by 8 across the top by 8 3/4 across the bottom and about 2 1/2 inches deep. Thanks much :)
