No, I don't believe it is. By 1998, the N was being used for Mexico, and the "Made in.." wording was incorporated into the body of the creed at all plants. That is too late for it to have been put at the end of the creed. The placement of the straps and the main zipper pull are wrong as well.

ETA: In case I wasn't clear, it is fake and can be reported.
Thanks, whateve.

I'm a little thrown by this bag. It looks real, but this is the first Coach bag I've seen that doesn't have the Coach logo anywhere but on the hangtag. I see several others like it on Ebay and elsewhere, but can someone reassure me that this is indeed a real Coach. Thanks.
It looks fine. These bags are currently at Coach outlets. Coach has been becoming more discreet with their logos.

Although she doesn't have a good creed picture, the Coach name is also on the creed.

??REGINA QUESTION??Evening Ladies!! I have what I believe is an Authentic 1998 Regina bag
(will upload pics)..Creed K80-9983~USA, It has an attached flat long strap with the adjustable brass buckle. My feeling is that the strap was either a replacement strap, or that Regina bags were made at one time with the flat buckle straps
( I can't find her photos at the moment.. and until the recent post today about REGINA..I kind of forgot about her) Anyway...After bathing her at least 3 times (dirty girl) leather conditioning her several times~ I can't feel or find any evidence she is fake..perfect stitching, normal turnlock, great leather, the measurements & all hardware is consistent with REGINA bags~COACH quality heavy leather~ Creed looks normal..everything except the shoulder strap... MY Question is.. were these flat buckle straps still used on "REGINA" in 1998? Will find or reshoot pics! I appreciate your help& thank you in advance! CHEERS!! Sheri

I can't find any evidence that Reginas were sold with anything other than the skinny tubular strap, but in the 80's and 90's, Coach let customers swap out a strap for a different one on some bags. I don't know that they did this with Regina but it could have happened, or someone could have had more than one bag in the same color and mixed up the straps. Since the straps are removable we never use them for authentication.

It's possible that you misread the serial number, since neither a zero nor the letter O would belong in the third position. It might be the letter C.

oops, I replied under my original question..Thank you Hyacinth, I am hoping to find out her name, I'll call her Mini Stewardess~ish pouch..or whatever my goofy brain decides, until we find out for sure! Enjoy your weekend! Thanks Again!! All the Best! Sheri

No copyright in booklet, the old tag has hand written purchase date of 7/7..sales #630..and was paid by chg..perhaps the madame had it delivered to her house! Wouldn't want to get her white gloves dirty...I remember shopping in downtown department stores with my mom in the 1960s,, then we would go to the dept store restaurant, and have club sanwiches & ice cream floats..with our white gloves... good times....ENJOY!!! SHERI

Yes, I remember going downtown shopping with my mom in the 1960s - always a stop at Marshall Field's especially during their January White Sales or the day-after-Christmas clearance madness, then lunch at one of the store's restaurants or for a different twist, at one of the stand-up lunch counters in the Loop for a greasy hamburger and a shake. (No white gloves needed during December or January though, you wore warm mittens or fur-lined leather gloves as a matter of self-preservation!)

And we only had to carry the small packages home since they delivered everything else. Loved to see that green truck pull up in front of the house the next day! :smile1:

RIP, Field's.
