JOODLZ and our other Purse Ladies:

Remember this post from June 29 of this year?

If you all have time, please check out a couple of Ebay listings. A seller has 2 of those supposed 7171s but with creeds and in 2 colors that are questionable at best. She also has 2 bags in hot pink, and all items have the same "G0D-" serial prefix. There's also a thread at Ebays Pursies Forum, assuming it survives. Seller is " desire_it ":

Opinions?

YIKES! There must have been an entire herd of PEPTO-PINK cows running around somewhere in 2000! The position of the Coach lozenge imprint on the pink 7171 is NOWHERE close to my red one...and the sloppy piping seam is on the opposite side of the pouch. And mine DOES NOT have a creed.

It looks fine.

I am supposing (though I don't know for sure) that the reason that bag doesn't have a creed is probably because it folds up to become one of the smaller accessories items, often made without creeds.

Thank you! I have a new addition to my "favorites" list!

It's interesting to note that desire_it had fake Coach keychains dating back to Sept. 2012.

As for the current listings, IMO, there's no way Coach made something with a creed that looks like this:

I agree with that...and it's really curious that all the creed prefixes are the same.

ETA: Also the striped lining of my red 7171 is top-stitched onto the zipper fabric. The green one BB posted doesn't look that way to me.

For sure! Not even the seller's lame excuse (and a favorite excuse of chronic fakes sellers too) that "That these were Coach factory seconds, and will have some slight imperfection..." can explain away that mess of a fake. "Factory seconds", my arse!

Hi guys! Can you help me out with this bag? I had previous posted about a tan and a black bag, but this caught my eye because it's grey - an unusual color which I really like. The coach logo seems different that all the other bags I have previously inquired about, so I definitely want to touch base about it's authenticity. :) Thanks in advance!

Listed as: Pre-owned (but the title of the listing says "vintage"
6 inches tall
9 inches wide
1 1/2 inches thick
48 inch strap

It's a genuine Pocket Purse from 1994. It's a bit less than a year away from being "vintage" which usually means 20 years old or more.

They must mean it's a "factory second" from the Coach counterfeit factory!!

Can you imagine? Not a AAA fake?!?!?

Both are authentic.

Good morning all - back to work!
I got a bunch of bags today and a few don't look right.
The first pair are messenger flaps, for sure one is counterfeit but I wanted to post photos of
the"good" one against the "bad" one so I can show the seller and also
I think it will help for others to see the differences.
The black is the fake, the brown is real (I'm assuming of course your determination is appreciated on that)
Thanks!
PS - notice the creed stamp shows factory "E" but it is made in United States?

Next one is a Fletcher, not sure about this one.
I removed the strap because it is very damaged and cut up but I can replace it if the bag is authentic.
The very faint creed says it was made in the United States B6C-4150

Last one (for now..lol) is a clutch/wristlet with strap.
I've had a few of these and the leather is different on this one,
very shiny and smooth - but I know that could be from overconditioning and wax polish build up, so tell me what you think. TY as always!

The brown one is authentic. It is interesting to see all the differences. An "E" factory code that says "Made in the United States" is always fake.

Thanks so much! I don't mind that it's only ALMOST vintage. :) Soon it will be! I went ahead and purchased it. I've bought 3 different style bags now. I can't believe it. Once I find my black bag I will be done and will have new accessories for 2014. Thank you everyone SOOOOO much. :) I can't believe you provide this service for people. I am very grateful.
