Thank you! thank you!! You are very knowledgable and very helpful!! Hope to talk to you soon!
One more questionable nd I don't know if this is your area of expertise but if you had to choose what color would you say the station bag is? I need to order a replacement tag and want coach to get it right this time! Thanks

The Station Bag might be Taupe, but since it was a color only used by Coach for one or two years I doubt very much if they'll have one in that color. They'll probably just send to a brass tag.

Hello this guy is a fake! The craftsmanship is very bad plus read this:
http://www.ebay.com/gds/Fake-Coach-Serial-Numbers-NT-4903-and-more-/10000000002744619/g.html
Scroll down a little bit maybe a 1/4th of the page! Sorry about that! Hope you can get your money back!

Did you buy this recently and can you get your money back?

The first page of this thread explains the kind of information we need for an authentication. If this was a recent sale through Ebay or another selling site and the original listing is still available, please post the link so we can report the fake and advise you on the best way of getting your money back.

If a bag looks and feels fake once you get it, often a photo of the creed stamp and serial number is all we need to ID it as a fake, as we would have done with this one. The extra photos give us - and you - additional ammunition if you decide to file a claim or dispute through Ebay since every extra mistake is another red flag showing that the bag is fake.

And zippers stamped YKK are totally useless in figuring out if something's authentic, the fake you bought proves that. Read the Salearea Guides especially the one about the YKK Zipper Myth for more information.

Comments: I have never seen this particular type of braided strap on any Coach purse/bag??
THX again for all your AWESOME help my friendly Coachies!

I don't see any problems, there are several of them listed under Completeds. I think several Parkers had that kind of creed, and I remember seeing a few other styles with that chain strap.

Here's another small Parker #13440 with a chain strap, and a similar creed from another Parker:

This is not me look above a few posts! She has pictures of the bags and the creed numbers! I think the bag is fake!:(

I just got done rehabbing a bag (one I posted to authenticate) and all I need is a hang tag! I called CS twice and both were not very nice and asked a lot of questions! Like where I bought it. My email address, phone number! Stuff I was never asked before! They also said she can't find some of the styles for the bags (requested a simple black vintage tag) I have never seen that before! They didn't like that they were vintage and wanted to make sure I bought it from the coach store! They also asked for my name and address before I told them the creeds!! I really need some tags, but I'm scared to call back! Does anyone have any tips on dealing with this? Or another way of getting tags? Please let me know! Thank you!

I don't know whether it's fake or not. I'm just not sure it's genuine.

Personally, I wouldn't purchase it not being able to prove that it's authentic.

I agree. Anything that's claimed to be or seems it might be a Sample with a 00000 or 99999 style number has a strong chance of being a fake, since the fakers know the number can't be verified and they can probably get away with their deception. Anyone buying one needs to understand that their "Coach" will always have a question mark, and that they understand that it's something they really shouldn't resell. This is especially true with newer styles that are much more likely to be fake.

I've even taken a chance on an older bag with a 00000 code and have never been able to verify it or find it in any catalog, but I'm sure it's a Coach or would have been a Coach style if production had been greenlighted. As it is, I have an extra-big leather bag with all the pockets I've ever wanted, a great crossbody strap, and everything I'd expect from a full-production Coach bag except a hangtag. But I knew and accepted the risks when I bought it.

That's because a lot of greedy sellers have been taken advantage of Coach's replacement policy by asking for dozens of free hangtags and then reselling them on Ebay. They've made it almost impossible for someone who actually needs one to get a replacement.

And it's Coach's decision. The tags were a part of the original bag so they have a right to verify that someone is actually replacing a missing tag from a bag they originally bought from Coach.

Sorry you got two bad bags.

Thanks Hyacinth. I sometimes take chances on bags I know well as I've scored great deals that way. This had no creed pics.

I buy and sell a lot so, it happens- I take my lumps. I've got a good relationship with my local Coach store so, they're willing to speak to PP for me, just not provide anything in writing. Thus far, with the three bags I've gotten that were fakes it's never come to that.

PP has always taken my word. I have returned each bag & received my refund.

Here is your original listing: http://******/1aUvwRD

This was my fault, I scrolled through WAY too fast & bid w/ 18 secs remaining. Looking back, the signs were there. :/

I know better than to buy so hastily.

Wow. I'm sorry you are having these issues. I took my vintage black carrier in for a back slip repair, left the original strap at home. When I got it back, along with the repair, they'd tucked a new strap inside!

I was confused at first but, pleasantly surprised!

It still helps to have a second pair of eyes check it. Just from the listing pics, the "male" part of the turnlock is too narrow, the stitching where the strap is fastened to the clips isn't right - there's way too much open space between the clip and where the end of the strap is sewn together and the strap ends look unfinished. The ends of the clips even look as if they aren't wide enough for the ends of the strap which actually looks crushed or wrinkled, see the pics in this listing of a genuine Willis:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-COA...954?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item5400fd6772

The hangtag is a fake although you can never depend on hangtags, but it usually means the bag needs to be looked at closely. And those last second bids are never a good idea, especially with a style like the Willis where there can be a hundred others listed on Ebay at the same time.
