Wow. I'm sorry you are having these issues. I took my vintage black carrier in for a back slip repair, left the original strap at home. When I got it back, along with the repair, they'd tucked a new strap inside!

I was confused at first but, pleasantly surprised!
Wow that was nice! How long ago was that? Because it seems like within the last month coach has bottom really strict! I was taken by surprise when I called because I ordered tags a few weeks ago with no problems! Do you think that if a regular at coach asks for tags it would be different?

That's because a lot of greedy sellers have been taken advantage of Coach's replacement policy by asking for dozens of free hangtags and then reselling them on Ebay. They've made it almost impossible for someone who actually needs one to get a replacement.

And it's Coach's decision. The tags were a part of the original bag so they have a right to verify that someone is actually replacing a missing tag from a bag they originally bought from Coach.
Do you think if a regular and often customer at coach wanted to order tags it would be different? I told them I never shopped with them (I have not my address is not in the system) thanks!

Could someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
Bought at Goodwill yesterday...excellent condition.
Approx. 9”w x 6”h x 2.5”d Strap drop 22”
I'm guessing 2001 Legacy Small Pocket Zip #9136...yes?
Thanks, as always, in advance!
Can I ask how much you paid for this? I don't know the going prices for coach at thrift stores! But one near me has some coach that is really expensive for not being sure it is authentic and not in good shape! Thanks

If you live near a Coach store or outlet, they usually have extra hangtags and will let you pick one that matches.

Another one. When I asked for the name and style no. of the bag, she gave me the number off the inside patch?

Item: Coach Leather Purse Handbag Beige Tan Camel Brass Hardware

Comments: Is it real?
It looks fine to me. More opinions are welcome. It is a Peyton Shoulder Bag. I'm a little surprised to see it with a factory prefix. I didn't know they made factory versions with the polka dot lining.

Here's one more...

Comments: Coach doesn't have this serial number (14C-9929) in their system,
It looks like a post-1994 one to me, which should start with a number, not a letter.
The seller says that it was purchased in the 1980s
What do you make of it?

It wouldn't be post-1994 with a 1994 year code. And the first digit is an L, not a 1. And NO post-1994 serial number should ever start with a number except for the very few mid-90s bags from a few plants like Costa Rica where the first three digits got mistakenly scrambled, but those are mistakes and not standard Coach formatting.

The seller is mistaken, as many are, about when it was bought. It would be nice if the creed wasn't worn down so much, but it's called a Sling, looks genuine, and was made in 1994.

I'm not sure where you're getting your information on how serial numbers are formatted but it's seriously flawed and you need to ignore whatever sources you're using and find a valid set of guides that have accurate information. Start here:
