post-1994 with a 1994 year code. And the first digit is an L, not a 1. And NO post-1994 serial number should ever start with a number except for the very few mid-90s bags from a few plants like Costa Rica where the first three digits got mistakenly scrambled, but those are mistakes and not standard
Coach formatting.
The seller is mistaken, as many are, about when it was bought. It would be nice if the creed wasn't worn down so much, but it's called a Sling, looks genuine, and was made in 1994.
I'm not sure where you're getting your information on how serial numbers are formatted but it's seriously flawed and you need to ignore whatever sources you're using and find a valid set of guides that have accurate information. Start here:
