** A repost of my original post, with additional pics of creed.

Hi guys need help to authenticate this second hand coach purse that I got from a seller online. I'm not really sure if it's authentic or not but I'm keeping my fingers crossed now. Really hope some kind souls can help me see if it's authentic?

Have checked a couple of things, the zips are all ykk, and the coach logo is not stamped on every hardware but only on the long sling strap.

I took a pic of the creed with and without flash for your reference

Do let me know if you guys need any extra pics! Really appreciate your help!

It doesn't look authentic to me. I've never seen a creed where they left out the periods. More opinions are welcome.

ETA: is the end of the zipper sticking out of the bag? That wouldn't happen on a Coach. The zipper should fit perfectly into the opening.
ETA: The buckle doesn't look right and there should be two keepers- one of each side of the buckle. I'm only seeing one.

Hi, I don't think so, I was fiddling a lot with the bag and took a picture hastily. Anyway, can I just also inquire further about the alignments of the Cs? Anything weird about that?

What does it mean by leaving out the periods? Sorry, I'm a little confused as this is my first coach purse.

TIA!

YKK zippers don't prove anything, and stamped hardware doesn't prove a Coach is authentic either. Wherever you heard or read that nonsense, ignore it.

Whateve mentioned how the top zipper on yours extends past the opening, and it should NOT. You can't loosen the zipper end just by "fiddling with it". Here's a photo from singapore.coach.com clearly showing the top and how both ends of the zipper are concealed inside the top of the bag.

The bag in that Coach Singapore photo also doesn't have a Carriage logo on the creed stamp. The Carriage emblem on the front of yours also looks much too big, the stitching around the creed is uneven and the corners aren't right, the edges of the creed aren't straight, and as Whateve said, there are no periods at the ends of the sentences.

If you're not from the US or English is not your first language, it would help if you said so - then we can explain why mistakes in grammar and punctuation are a major problem. No matter where a bag is made or sold, the creeds should always follow the rules of American English grammar and this one does not.

Please post the link to the listing where you bought this bag, you may need to file a claim with Ebay to get your money back.

EDITED TO ADD - here are the top zipper ends:
It's definitely fake. You should request (or rather, demand) a refund.

Please post a link to the site from which you purchased the bag.

Those are ALL fake. The styles are fake and the leather - or vinyl probably - looks really thin & cheap. One photo is all it takes to know their stuff is garbage. Coach's website lists the only sites authorized to sell Coach products, anyone else copying the Coach name or graphics are selling fakes. Sticking another word between "coach" and "com" is a known phishing technique and a way for a lot of scumware sites to fool people into thinking they're genuine - DON'T fall for it.

FROM COACH'S WEBSITE:

  • •The only websites owned and operated by Coach to sell Coach products online are www.coach.com and www.coachfactory.com.The ONLY authorized third-party websites that sell Coach products are:

    • º Belk.com
    • º Bloomingdales.com
    • º Dillards.com
    • º LordandTaylor.com
    • º Macys.com
    • º Nordstrom.com
    • º VonMaur.com
    • º Coach.Ebay.com

  • • Examples of websites that have sold counterfeit Coach products:
    • • Coachoutletfactory.com, Coachbags.biz, Coachoutletsbags.com

  • [*]• WARNING: Counterfeit websites often times use the word COACH in the URL and have content and a layout similar to http://www.coach.com

Another red flag is that none of the security-type website logos at the top and bottom of the page are active links that take you to those sites, they're just ripoff copies of the logos. When those logos don't link back to those companies that means there's no valid connection between them. How many LEGITIMATE sites do you ever see with all those logos plastered all over the pages? Look at a site like Zappo's - their security site logos are valid links, not fake graphics.

When someone's trying to convince you so hard that they're trustworthy, it's time to run like heck in the other direction. It's like a Coach purse with Coach's name stamped on every single piece of hardware on the bag - the more they're trying to convince you they're legit, the better chance it is that they're crooks.

Thank you so much for your assistance in the ID thread. I was wondering if this bag seemed real.

That one listed by the original photo owner "gigie10pursesetc" mentioned in this thread is genuine.
