Thoughts? I was actually carrying my clay shoulder bag when I found this and the details match. I found it at work late last night and then had an event to attend and forgot about it till some internal ebay alarm woke me up this morning.
Anyone ever see anything like this before?
Please wait for other opinions because I'm not sure about this one.
The details do look good but I'm not sure about whether this style would have been made in Italy. And without a serial number, I can't check.
I've never seen it either. It looks like a Spectator version of the 11127, the only difference I can see is the creed and the direction of the striped lining on the bottom. It looks and "feels" genuine to me.
I'm surprised there's no serial number though, since the Italian plant was apparently still making limited-production bags with the new style longer numbers until around 2009. I can understand not using the regular gold-stamped creed from the other Legacy Shoulder Bags since
Coach probably didn't think it was worth making one for that plant for what was probably a one-off. And thinking back to the Dakotas and Sheridans, I can almost understand why the Italians decided that serial numbers weren't important.
There's also the possibility that the serial number wouldn't fit, or that it was actually a Limited Production item and the serial combined with the LE sequence number didn't fit the space.
ETA - Here's another apparently genuine mid-2000s Italian-made bag with no serial:

Sorry I forgot

OK ladies-I got the bag, however, I didn't take any pictures because it is really identical to the bag NSP posted-except for the creed patch, of course. I also compared it to my two legacy shoulderbags, hardware is identical, so is stiching. OK there is one difference, the strap is two toned on both sides, like the bag in the stock photo Hyacinth linked to above ^^^ in an older post.
So I'm convinced it's the real deal. The only really weird thing to me is that this is not made with the heavy vachetta leather of the the other legacy bags, though it's quality coach like leather...maybe more like Bleecker leather? Vintage leather? But again, the texture looks like the leather in the photos above.
So since I noticed it was lighter leather, and I now have a real creed to look at (thanks again NSP), I was able to find it on the way back machine. The description on the wayback machine says vachetta. It could just be lighter weight because it's a spring bag, but it's different than even my white ali.
I would think maybe they did a "model" for the stock photos and used different leather, and went back to regular legacy vachetta for the regular production models, but, again, the bag pictured above looks slouchy and like it is made from lighter leather also.
So, anyway, I'm happy with it. There is nothing you could tell me to convince it isn't a coach bag at this point, and it's cute and I'll use it.
OH, and PS: the bag that CA Anonymous posted in the thread I linked to above inspired me to look at her album
http://forum.purseblog.com/album.php?albumid=5056
she also has the spectator Gigi and I think the leather looks different on that bag too. It's just the way it hangs, if you know what I mean.
ETA: I forgot to thank y'all for all your help on this!!! Thank You!
