I've posted pictures of both genuine styles with those numbers, 10337 on the top and 2 different colors of style 10340 below it along with a photo of a genuine creed patch and the inside of the bag showing how the zipper for the inside pocket is supposed to be sewn - that inside pocket zipper is very badly done on your bag, and that poor quality could NOT have come from a Coach plant. There should also be 2 lines of stitching that go up the center of the flap from the turnlock to the top of the bag.

I believe your bag is counterfeit and another of our experts has said the same.

Comments: This seller has a long history of selling fakes. With 87% feedback, I'm surprised ebay hasn't suspended her.

My concern is with the creed on this bag. It's puffy and the font doesn't look right. Also, others have brass hardware. Did Coach use silver hardware in 1996?

Interesting. The bag I asked about was removed. I didn't report but was hoping to get an opinion on the authenticity (or not) of it.

Yes, it's a genuine Vista Bag, and one of the few that I've seen posted here. It's only 4 months from being true vintage so we'll give it the benefit of the doubt. :smile1:

Thank you. I haven't seen one either which is why I didn't post it here before bidding! I think its been polished though and looks like it needs a good clean on the inside. Another project - can't wait!

I'm seeing a few problems with the creed including a wrong style number and serial number stamping details that don't match other bags from the same plant and year. And there's NO way Coach would have used a zipper with black fabric backing inside that color bag. If it's supposed to be the industrial-style zipper, the pull isn't right.

Still looking, but I can't recommend that one. If I find any evidence to change my mind, I'll add to this reply.

EDITED TO ADD - I still don't think it's genuine. Along with what I already mentioned, the shapes of most of the digits in the serial number aren't right for that plant and year. Here's one from 2 months earlier, and the ones I've found from later in the year show the same details:

Hi,

Could someone please authenticate this for me? Creed is H0C-9817.
It's black leather and measures about 8 inches high by 7 1/4 inches across and 2 inches wide.

Also, there's a pocket on the other side.
