Camel is a normal color and the leather has gone through the full tanning process. You can still spray it with a good sealant like AppleGarde but it will probably darken the leather. Ask for advice at the Rehab and Rescue thread at the main Coach forum before using any treatment.

The fifth photo down is probably the closest to the actual color which has more of a yellow tone than the first three photos show.

BTW, it's not vintage since it was only made in 2000.

Thanks Hyacinth for your expertise. This changes things for me then! PS do you prefer the newer leather bags or vintage? Just curious on what a Coach expert like you prefers

Always the older and vintage leathers, at least until the weight gets to be a problem. The newer leathers are a bit too fussy and trendy for me, except maybe for the Kristins. "Soft and thin" is ok as long as it's durable, but I refuse to have to baby a bag. And I KNOW that the older leathers will last forever, or at least longer than I will, but I'm not so sure about some of the newer styles.

Everyone's taste is different though. A mix of classic and newer can give you the best of both worlds.

The colors look wrong to me, even making allowances for differences in lighting and monitor settings, the Flower and Heart look like they're the same color in the photo but they're not on the genuine keychain. The chain's links aren't the right shape which makes the chain too long even though it has the right number of links, the charms are too big in proportion to the keyring, and the font used for the Coach logo on the hangtag isn't right either. The hangtag's surface should also be smoother.

Close but no cigar. Here's Coach's pic, which matches my genuine one including how the colors appear, at least on the ones made for the full-price stores. It's always possible that Coach cut a few corners on versions they may have made for the outlets but I can only go by what I have in front of me.

Like you, I'm definitely leaning towards vintage only because the leathers look so nice and I am clumsy and cannot baby my bags either!! So hearing what you think is great!

The spacing is common on other bags made in the same plant. The bag seems authentic.
