The first one is fake. The second one needs a picture of the creed to authenticate. I've had white marks like that come off in the bath and some haven't. It might not be British tan. The seller says it's camel.Hi ladies, I just won a black court bag but now I want a brown one!
Do both of these listings I am getting authenticated look like the colour "british tan" to you? I have shoes and belts in this colour so I've got to have a bag to match, especially with Coach's vintage leather qualities!
1) Item: Brown court bah

Comments: I asked the seller to post the creed, and it appears that it says MJ5 9870 - is this strange? Sorry, still trying to learn.
2) Item: camel brown court bag

Seller: 202chanda

Comments: What do you think those white marks are on the seller's third photo? I asked the seller, and s/he said they haven't tried to clean it and they don't know, but it looks to be "dirty". I don't know if it's dirt. It reminds me of when I brush my teeth and get toothpaste splatter on my mirror lol. But in all seriousness, I did a search on the forum and some reason on other forums here, and some possibilities include wax coming out from the bag (but that's for Hermes so I don't know if it applies here). I guess to finish up this super long post - do you think it will come off in a bag bath or clean/conditioning? PS, in the same third photo there's also a very deep indent in the bag... that can't be saved right?
I just want the british tan colour so much! I know I need to be patient.. but... :\
Thanks!
Oh my.
Listing: Vintage Coach Handbag
Item no. 121172967477

It's possible that the seller is aware this may be fake since the description in this listing is different from other Coach items they are selling.

I suspect that the seller knows. And if she doesnt know it's fake, she needs to do some homework. She also has this fake.

This one is not even TRYING to be a Coach! The seller bashadow27 says it DOESN'T HAVE A CREED, the strap is held on by Velcro, and it looks like someone just pried or unscrewed the metal Coach emblem from another bag and stuck it on this POS.
I don't have to say it but I will - do NOT buy from this seller.
That's the way it always happens! Most sellers don't know the name so they are hard to find if you are looking for them. This one looks good too. It is difficult to find a strap to match. It's so funny--I'll find a style I've never seen before and then all of a sudden I see like 3 in the same day! I like the price of this one much better! Thanks for checking it out.
Item: Chadwick satchel (I think)

There's no way you could have known. The listing shows pictures of an authentic bag - not the one you received. Compare the creed on yours to the picture in the listing. I think that is proof for a SNAD case.Sorry ladies-- my pc is down and I am trying to learn how to use my iPad for this. Here is the listing where I bought the cobalt duffle.

I don't understand what you mean "the last 4 pull a recent signature release on Ebay?" I'm not familiar with this style but I don't see any problems.
Oh, now I get it! You can't use the last 4 digits from an all number creed to search. It isn't a style number. Your bag was made before 1994 when they started putting style numbers in the creeds. You can identify creeds that have a style number because the first digit is always a letter (except in some rare circumstances when the factories made a mistake.) Your bag was made between 1988 and 1993. I'm sure someone else is familiar with the style. Don't be hesitant about posting it in the "ID this Coach" thread. Make sure you include measurements.I'm so sorry for being unclear, Whateve, especially since you're always so accurate and kind. Thanks for your reply btw, this bag has me stumped.
I searched the last four creed digits on this bag on Google and then on Ebay and it pulled up a bunch of Canvas (I think these are signature bags? The ones with the "C's" all over them?) hobo slingy-type Coach bags.
The number on my little Brit Tan Messenger Crossbody is 443-9349. I searched 9349. It also reads "Coach Leatherware" and was US made.
I am hesitant to post the bag in "ID This Coach" as i don't want to spam the forums with my questions. Do you think I should? I'd like to know the style, it's very cute and the leather is super thick. It was, however, very difficult to rehab and I'd prefer to have it in a darker color. I find the Brit Tan bags VERY hard to keep pretty.
Thanks again.
