It certainly "looks like" everything Cashin designed the bag to be - as shown below. It's a shame someone removed the tag since that makes it rather difficult to prove absolutely. I wouldn't have hesitated to buy it for myself though.

You are so sweet to include the drawing, I was looking all around for some sort of proof! Thank you, I know about the tag, like who does such a thing? Thank you as always ;)

Could I get an opinion on this bag?

Coach Clutch/Shoulder Black Handbag
Seller: airwaves19
Item: 151084390084

Comments: There are several details that are off, the piping on the bottom is too thick and the shape of the padding on the handle is off. I know that these could have been replaced but the hangtag cartouche doesn't look right, the clips on the strap and the way the strap is attached to the clips are all inconsistent with an authentic Coach.

The bottom piping really looks like a mess. I agree that the strap wasn't made by Coach. It would be nice to see a clear close-up of the stamped half of the magnetic snap, but what little shows in the seller's photos doesn't look right. The photo showing the open inside pocket shows that there are only two areas that are stamped on the snap and that about a third of the snap doesn't look like it has any stamping at all. Compare it to this one - there are two pics that although they don't show any readable details, show that the stamping details which include the maker's logo and US Patent numbers, extend all the way around the snap, just as they should.

Comparing it to this one, the serial fonts from the two bags supposedly made only 2 months apart show differences in the fonts of the serial digits AND the Coach logo at the top of the creed, and there are several others listed on Ebay that show the same creed and serial font details as the apparently genuine bag in the link below.

The bag you asked about doesn't seem genuine to me either.

ETA - Adding pics of the two most common Coach magnetic snaps from the 90s, from COMAG/ROMAG and Towanny

Item: Authentic Leather Brown Coach Purse
Listing #: 161068478302
Seller: addai2003
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Authentic-L...36fy7Y309%2FvLt%2FllE%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Comments: Listing Ended & I was successful bidder. I'll post creed when received for authentication. At this time, however, does anyone know the name? It looks larger than the Shopper Bucket (9993).

It's probably better to wait until we see the creed and serial number, especially since the seller didn't even give any measurements. It MAY be a Zip Top Shopper, style 9995 and would be a large bag, about 13x12 inches. If it is, you got a steal.

Thanks Hyacinth for your preliminary input. I took a chance hoping it was authentic. I'll post better pics when it arrives for authentication. Appreciate your time! Fingers crossed I got a good deal

I've been on a buying streak & have plenty to post for authentication.....if only I could get a break in the weather to take pics.....:rain:

Hello! I found this purse at my local thrift store and was hoping to get it authenticated.

I think it is a penny shoulder bag. It's about 12" by 6" by 3" but I am not sure, I don't have a measuring tape.

I am concerned about the white line visible in the 3rd picture. It seems as if the lining doesn't reach the top of the divider.

Thanks in advanced!

Sorry TT I think the dimensions are more like 12" by 6" by 2" sorry for the approximations.
