Hello! I found this purse at my local thrift store and was hoping to get it authenticated.

I think it is a penny shoulder bag. It's about 12" by 6" by 3" but I am not sure, I don't have a measuring tape.

I am concerned about the white line visible in the 3rd picture. It seems as if the lining doesn't reach the top of the divider.

Is there an outside pocket on the back? Does the inside pocket have a zipper, and is there an open pocket under the flap?

With older bags that don't have style numbers, it's a really big help to have measurements. If you're in the US, Back-To-School supplies will be in all the stores soon including grocery stores, buy yourself one or two plastic rulers.

If actually 12x6 it's definitely NOT a Penny which is a small bag. Coach made several styles that looked similar and without more of a description of the other details I'd rather not guess about a style name. It seems genuine though.

This next one is appx 9 W x 10 H x 2 D is black leather and the creed # is K4C-5130. I had a hard time getting a picture of the creed so if you need another one, please let me know.

The first one is a genuine Soho Swingpack but I don't know the style name or number.

Second one seems genuine - is part of the turnlock missing?

Yes, there is a pocket on the outside on the back. The inside pocket does not have a zipper. There are no zippers underneath the flap. There is a main compartment with a big pocket on the backside of the inside of the bag. The 3rd picture shows inside of this pocket.

The measurements seem to be reasonable now that I have a ruler on hand, but I didn't buy it so I can't measure it. I should probably start carrying a tape measure whenever I go out... Never know when I'll run into these Coach bags!

Gotta have a tape measure when you're shopping! And a jeweler's loupe or magnifying glass, and a small flashlight to read the creeds inside those dark vintage Coaches. :smile1:

The creed stamping indicates it's from some time between around 1988 and 1993 but that's the best I can do. I'll keep looking for a similar style so hang in there. Maybe someone else will recognise it. BTW, is there any smaller pocket right under the flap at all?

Oooooooooooo-Kay! THAT'S why measurements and pocket placements are SO important - 9 1/2 inches would make it a Pocket Purse, style 9755.

(Just figured out that I have at least a dozen rulers and measuring tapes in the house including 3 - no, 4 - within arm's reach of my computer. That's not including the DH's measuring tapes in his toolkit. Scary.)

Comments: I need a white strap however any strap is kind of hard to come by on ebay. I saw this one. They are only asking 15.00. That's lower than what I've seen and I was concerned because the hardwear says coach on it (stamped). I read that real straps don't have coach stamped on it???? So.....I will leave it up to your experts! Thanks!

OH dearie. I had to search for one tape measure and another is MIA, I need to buy more -.-. Thank you for your help :) I got to run out and fetch the purse for my gf. She's now washing it and getting ready to rehab it :). Thank you very much for your help ^^

(I'm gonna go pack a shopping purse for myself outfitted with all the stuff I need)
