Hi all! Please help authenticate this Coach bag. Thanks so much in advance! :smile1:

Item Name:AUTH BNWOT COACH HAMPTON WEEKEND PERFORATED LEATHER TOTE TAN
Item Number: 190874020913
Seller: tj123010
Link: http://www.ebay.ph/itm/AUTH-BNWOT-C...3?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_211&hash=item2c70fa6c31

There's no way we can authenticate a bag without a clear readable photo of the creed patch and serial number, especially in this case because of the very high number of fake name-brand purses being sold in or through the Philippines.

Just a scroll through the seller's open listings shows dozens of different photo backgrounds and styles, and many gallery photos stolen right from the manufacturers' websites, which is a violation of their countries' Copyright and Trademark Protection laws.. There's no way to tell if you'll actually be getting the exact bag that's in the photo. Some listings only have one photo and we NEVER recommend buying from a Coach seller who doesn't show a clear photo of the creed and serial number.

That's what I also thought, I'm hesitant to buy her items since she doesn't show any Coach creeds. Thank you for the inputs Hyacinth, I really appreciate it. You're the best! :smile1:

I agree with Hyacinth that you should use extreme caution when buying from the Philippines.

Additionally, I recommend posting here even if you do find a seller showing creed pictures. What we've seen are bags with what appears to be quality (authentic-like) construction and creeds that appear "perfect," except that the creeds have serial numbers that are invalid for the styles of bags they're on.

I'd feel much more comfortable authenticating bags from countries other than the Philippines.

ETA: Actually, I recommend AGAINST buying from seller tj123010. Not only do the seller's listings not show enough pictures to authenticate, and not only does the selling make unauthorized use of various manufacturers' copyrighted stock photos, and not only do the seller's listings have multiple backgrounds implying that the pictures come from various sources, but the seller also steals pictures from other ebay sellers.

This listing from tj123010:

Was stolen from ebay seller ringo4422, whose pictures all have the same background. I know for a fact she doesn't allow others to use her work:

Or. ..buy a different colored Patricia :p

That too. But except for black there weren't many colors that stayed the same from the Musettes and earlier bags to the Pat's Legacy. And I hardly ever buy black bags. (Anyway, it's not like I needed another bag - my DH can give a 20-minute lecture on that subject!) :D

It is authentic. You should be able to get a new turnlock from Coach, maybe the strap ring too. Is the leather patch to attach the strap missing?

Oh my goodness whateve, I just realized my answer never posted. Please accept my apologies! Thanks for checking out the purse. The strap is attached at both ends, it was just the way I took the pic. There is a bit of loose stitching, but that I can easily fix. I will probably rehab and not cut her up since she's not too far gone. Thanks again for authenticating!

Good Morning! Please authenticate for me

Item: Vintage Bonnie Cashin Cashin Carry Olive Green

Seller: Farfallashop
Comments: So I am not sure if this will be hard/impossible without the tag but everything points to authentic (stitching, design, etc.). I need a Cashin expert! This will probaly end up being too big for me anyway :). I saw this same plaid stitching on the tote called "the first tote".

It certainly "looks like" everything Cashin designed the bag to be - as shown below. It's a shame someone removed the tag since that makes it rather difficult to prove absolutely. I wouldn't have hesitated to buy it for myself though.
