Hello I was hoping someone could tell me if my Coach bag is authentic. I found it for 99 cents at a Salvation Army and figured for the price I would risk it. It has YKK zippers and the coach creed looks good. Unfortunately I cant post my pictures due to technical difficulties but I will post the link to an ebay listing of the same exact purse. The only differences are that my creed says it was made in Costa Rica and I dont have have the hanging coach tag. The name of the purse is a mystery to me but it appears to be from the Legacy collection. Anywho here is the link.

I still measured my purse which I have never done before so assuming I did this correctly these are the approximate dimensions:
Width: 9 1/2"
Height: 6 1/2"
Depth: 2 1/2"

The serial number on mine is K1P-9136. I was told by a Coach employee that this number can not be found in their database so I dont know if that automatically makes it a fake. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Ok so I think I have the picture thing figured out. Here are photos of my purse.

Good Morning!
My luck at Goodwill continues on...Can someone please authenticate this Coach?
Approx. 9.5"w x 7"h x 3"d Strap drop 24"
I'm guessing a 1994 Prairie Bag #9954.
It's much brighter green than the forest green Whateve called my City Bag a week or so ago. Was there another green?
Any and all info is much appreciated...as always, thanks in advance!
My guess would be Bottle Green

It looks authentic. I agree that the color is bottle green. I'm guessing this color came out around 1994.

First, two cooments:
Like my Siggie says, YKK zippers don't prove a bloody thing. Please do yourself a huge favor and read the Salearea Guides on Coach, starting with the "YKK Zipper Myth" and the one on Authenticity Guides, and Bookmark the links.

Second, don't ever ask Coach employees at any level and ESPECIALLY not their CS phone personnel for any information relating to Coach history or authenticity. That's also covered in one of the six Salearea Guides. And items made before 2000 usually won't be in their database. Items made only for the Factory Stores will NOT be in their database. And Coach phone reps are NOT Coach employees. This was posted by someone who works as a CS phone rep for Coach about phone "authentications":
""We're not even technically Coach employees, we should NOT be doing it. We're "Coach product specialists" but our job is to help people shop for current items... We're not employed by Coach, we haven't had any "authentication training..."

The bag is a genuine Legacy Small Pocket Zip.

Authenticity? :help:

Item: Vintage Coach 307 Green Leather Crossbody Handbag & Keyring
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-COA...36fy7Y309%2FvLt%2FllE%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
Seller: tjpholdings
Comments: Listing Ended. I was successful bidder and ready to pay, but would like confirmation that this is an authentic Canteen? In reading back I see that it is often counterfeit. If not a Canteen, can someone identify?

Thanks!

Thanks Hyacinth. Yeah Been Burned schooled me on the zipper thing earlier. I never knew those authenticity guides could be so wrong. Thanks for clearing that up.

LOL!!! Yep, in fact the last time I was called for jury duty I noticed a woman with a Willis Bag, so that got a conversation going.

I tend to notice styles that I own, but most of the time I'm looking it over to see whether or not it's fake. :graucho:

I think it's funny when I see an obviously fake Coach bag!
I've been into those stores in NY and WOW! The prices are comparable to outlet prices. If not... MORE. For horrible stitching & quality that are worst than $20 no brand name bags.

I didn't buy anything since they were not worth it. annddd... I hate fakes!

Seriously, this bag is gorgeous! Good find :smile1:
