I have never seen a tag like that before in a Coach accessory so I figured it was probably a fake and I left it behind.

I was just wondering if you have ever seen that type of tag and if you agree that it is fake? Or did I miss a great bargain? It was in excellent shape and marked only $5. Thanks!

That tag is authentic. I have a domed wool cosmetic case with the same tag.

Hyacinth, what is the purse behind shoulder purse in the ad picture?
I have the shoulder purse and you are right, it doesn't have an outside back pocket. It has a full-length slip pocket behind the kisslock.

It's a Mini Pouch #9740 from 1986, and it is TINY.

Good Morning Hyacinth...I own one of these and got a BIG KICK out of the catalog description. My my how the definition of "essentials" has changed since 1986 - LOL!

Amen! And now that everyone is lugging around SmartPhones and tablets and eReaders and heaven knows what else, Coach seems determined to force us to carry smaller bags. I'm not sure what they expect us to do with all that other stuff.

Sure, styles like the Penny are cute, but they can only be everyday bags if you're also using a briefcase or backpack. Heck, my regular-size wallets barely fit in one. What am I supposed to do with my phone and my keys? And they seem absolutely determined to eliminate all outside pockets from their handbags. Sorry, guys, I don't like fishing in the bottom of my purse for my keys or my shopping list. GIVE ME BACK MY OUTSIDE POCKETS!!!! :pout:

It seems ok but I don't have any information on it, just that it was from the Horse And Carriage (HAC) line.

Note that style 6094 is on a lot of fakes, some of which do (sort of) match this style of bag. If you have any questions about authenticity of the style, verify it here before bidding/buying.

Thank you so much, I definitely will! I tried to research, but kept finding conflicting information & I read that this style was one of the ones replicated a lot. Then I got worried & noticed the 2nd seller refer to this site & figured I had better post. I appreciate you taking the time to investigate these for me. I have ALOT to learn about Coach bags!
