1. creed pic isn't readable.
2. authentic, made in US in 1994.
3. authentic, made in China in 2001. Seller's description says something else.

I got a question for you'll all experts here. Saw a posting on PoshMark, and it says that it is authentic Vintage Coach Handbag, but the creed tag is very suspicious because there are spelling mistake, ex. Marking is spelled as Marxing and the serial no. is showed as N: 308-9876, there is the missing underline o, this is a fake, right?

You can be certain that it's fake with the misspellings and mistakes. :smile1:
But I am far from an expert so please wait for more opinions.

Yes it is fake. That number is on the fakes list.

@Whateve there is a fake list? Where do I find that? Also, do you list the seller too? I suggested to the seller that she might want to get it check, but she wrote back and said that she has other ways to prove that it is real. Usually, I tried to mind my own business, but just feel not right not to say something since there are people going to be buying from her.

There is some information here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-sh...enticity-questions-94198-37.html#post18503288

As we get more information about fakes, it usually gets posted to that thread.

It's probably number 308-9875 since that's the known fake number.

If the seller has "other ways" of proving something's fake then she's a bloody fool and I hope no one buys anything from her. Wonder which cwap "buying Guide" she's getting her BS info from?

Don't try to educate people like that - you know the old saying about trying to teach a pig to sing? Just post the links to the auctions and let us try and get them removed.

BTW, there's also a very similar Fakes List at Ebay posted by Daria48 that can be easier to use when you're surfing there. Save this link:
http://reviews.ebay.com/FAKE-SERIAL-NUMBERS-AND-COUNTERFEIT-COACH-BAGS_W0QQugidZ10000000002744619
and hers is probably more complete than mine. I REALLY need to update the one here at tPF but keep forgetting.

The lining is a problem and so are the plant and month codes, they seem to have been reversed. I have a gray bag in the same style with the correct code arrangement from what might have been a month earlier so it's surprising that that kind of mistake was made.

Give me a little while to check mine, the winter bags are kind of buried right now.

@Hyacinth @Whateve I got the reseller to post more picture on the purse, please let me know what your thoughts on this. Thanks again! Also, I saw some line mark on top of the serial number, does that mean anything as I saw a few cases like that. Thanks!

It seems genuine but I'm concerned about the small photos and the condition of the bag. Just because something has been stored in the original box doesn't necessarity mean that it's in good condition, it depends how and where it was stored. Hot dry climate? Damp climate? Stored in a bedroom or in a basement? Any musty odors or cigarette smells?

Reading the seller's Feedback comments (and you have to actually read them, don't just look at the numbers) it seems like the seller has a good record so it might be worth taking a chance, but never hesitate to ask questions about the item's condition, especially any smells or odors. If the seller doesn't mention anything at all about the condition, technically they have an "out" if it turns out to be rough since they didn't claim anything to the contrary. If they describe the condition as excellent and the item actually isn't "as described" then a buyer might have a basis for a SNAD claim if the difference is severe enough.
