Hello wonderful authenticators. I have an ebay issue, I sold a legacy wallet that I bought from Nordstrom, so I know it's authentic. When the buyer received it on April 12, they immediately left me POSITIVE feedback which read "Disappointed that it did not match the black cherry duffle I just bought". Now apparently they purchased a duffle from ANOTHER seller, which had nothing to do with me.

2 full weeks later, they opened a case (today) and are claiming the wallet is a fake, that it's not leather and they know this because they used some kind of leather polish on it and are saying it acts like vinyl. They want a refund after polishing it with who knows what "leather polish"?!

Could you experts take a look at my auction photos and validate authenticity for me? I'd appreciate it - TIA!

I don't see any problems with the authenticity of the wallet. And you described the indentation perfectly and honestly.

Leather, being a natural product can absorb color differently from one item to the next. A difference in color between items doesn't mean that it's fake.

As for the buyer, a check of her feedback made it so I couldn't block her fast enough! Several neutrals left and several other positive feedback with contradictory comments are from a buyer I'm sorry you got. (Out of 17 feedbacks left, 6 have questionable comments!)

ETA: Instead of complaining to you about the wallet not matching the bag, I wonder why she's not going to the seller of the bag. That seller used a stolen stock photo and one so tiny that you need a magnifying glass to see it! That seller is the one who didn't accurately and honestly represent her item!

ETA Again: Depending on what the care card says, she could very well have damaged the wallet in using something on it. In any case, the wallet isn't in the condition you sent it since she treated it with something.

Thank you so much! I'm always completely honest and so this is really frustrating. I'm trying to figure out what to do. It seems like she's mad the wallet doesn't match so she decided to cry fake to get a refund.

If you think it will help, refer her here to ask questions and voice concerns. If it's truly authenticity she's concerned about, for $7, she can get a professional authentication from authenticate4u.com.

I wish buyers would be honest rather than pulling the "fake" card when they've changed their mind.

You have a no-refund policy and I would think the fact that she used something on it negates her buyer protection.

Yipee!! I called eBay and explained. They said simply because they used leather polish they are no longer eligible for buyer protection and closed the case in my favor! Thanks again for your responses - and I suggest anyone reading this add this ebay member to their block list!

This is a style I'm unfamiliar with and the creed pre-dates 1994. It's in such amazing condition for its age, I figured I'd best get it looked at.

Item: some kind of Clutch
Purchased at thrift shop
6" H x 9" W x 1.5" D with an outer zip pocket and outer slip pocket
Interior Creed # is 1015-933
