It's a fake. The inside zipper mounting is wrong and the top zipper pull tab is the wrong shape. There are other mistakes but those are the major ones

I'm thinking Spectator City Bag. Style #6790? Approximate age?
Sorry about the bad creed shot. The serial number is very faint but I think it is 209-0924.
I even tried the white eyeshadow trick, to no avail.

This is a style I'm unfamiliar with and the creed pre-dates 1994. It's in such amazing condition for its age, I figured I'd best get it looked at.

Think I've found an earlier version - based on your measurements it looks like a "Small Clutch" #5110
I've got the same bag - but with a short ( 8" drop) non-adjustable strap. Based on the creed they appear to be from a similar time frame. Later Spectator City Bags have style # 9667 (based on Whateve's bag here: http://coachbagrehab.blogspot.com/2012/05/coach-style-numbers-and-photos.html?/m=1 ) but can't say whether Coach used a different style number for these prior to that.
