I originally wanted a Coach Court no.9870 in navy blue, and this one looks very similar to it. The only thing is that the model no is 0849-902 in which I couldn't find any other bag with that model number. Please someone help?!

I can't read the creed well enough to authenticate. Bags made before 1994 will have unique serial numbers rather than the style number in the creed.

All three look fine. City bag and two slim satchels standard.

Hi Ladies, I have a pre '94 Black Station bag which is missing the shoulder strap. I'm in the hunt for an accurate replacement to make the bag complete, but have seen various straps on EBay attached to Station's and I'm not sure which is correct. Is it an adjustable (buckle) with lobster claw ends or fixed with lobster claw ends. I'm thinking it should be in the area of 1/2" wide?

Can someone advise me exactly what I should be looking for?

Pre-1994 Station Bags came with 44-inch non-adjustable 1/2 inch wide straps with trigger-snap clips. Those may be what you're calling lobster-claw - they look like the clips in the 1993 catalog pic shown below. But if you're keeping it to use yourself, get whatever length works best for you.

Thanks Hyacinth for the info. I find I carry a bag for a spell then resell, rehab another, carry until something better comes along and on and on. AND SOMETHING BETTER ALWAYS COMES ALONG......lol. In this case, I'll look for the strap that matches the bag if I can scrounge one up.

Hello everyone!

I bought this Coach messenger bag at a resale shop recently. Bag is approximately 11" wide, 9" tall. Seems pretty old, but can't tell if it's real or not, or how old. Tried to search using the serial number, 081-9824, but didn't really get anywhere.

Thanks!
Tracie

All Coaches made before 1994 had unique individual serial numbers so searching for the number is useless. Please read the Salearea Guides on Creeds and on Serial numbers posted at Ebay for accurate information on the subject.

The one you asked about is one of the Saddle Pouches, probably the Large based on the measurements. The style number is 9585 and it was probably made in the mid-1980s.

Hello wonderful authenticators. I have an ebay issue, I sold a legacy wallet that I bought from Nordstrom, so I know it's authentic. When the buyer received it on April 12, they immediately left me POSITIVE feedback which read "Disappointed that it did not match the black cherry duffle I just bought". Now apparently they purchased a duffle from ANOTHER seller, which had nothing to do with me.

2 full weeks later, they opened a case (today) and are claiming the wallet is a fake, that it's not leather and they know this because they used some kind of leather polish on it and are saying it acts like vinyl. They want a refund after polishing it with who knows what "leather polish"?!

Could you experts take a look at my auction photos and validate authenticity for me? I'd appreciate it - TIA!
