Hi everyone! Whenever anyone has a moment, could you authenticate a bag I bought today at Boomerangs Thrift store for 12.00. Also, I would like to apologize to BeenBurned for wasting her time. Earlier, I ased for an authentication of a boag I bought last week that was already authenticated. I can only blame my dopiness on a nasty head cold!I believe this is called a Mercer Messenger bag? The serial# is K1J-7435-the pics of the creed weren't the best..

Apology unnecessary but accepted. The bag looks fine.Hi everyone! Whenever anyone has a moment, could you authenticate a bag I bought today at Boomerangs Thrift store for 12.00. Hi There,
I've been away from PurseForum too long that I had forgotten about the Authentication thread before making a purchase.
I have already won this auction, but it would give me peace of mind if you lovely people could tell me if this is real/fake.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Leath...h1cclquzOHktIbBr%2Fdg%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
Also, I am interested in this particular item as well. If you could authenticate it for me!

Much appreciated = )
Both bags are authentic. The second item was made in China so the leather might not be as thick as the leather on the first bag.
ETA: Wait for another opinion about the Willis. I'm not sure when they added the last line to the creed. I have a bag from 2001 that doesn't state it, but it wasn't made in China. Maybe they started using it in China earlier than at other plants.
Well, then it must be a good one! It's a genuine Mercer Field Bag from 2001. I own the same bag.
Thanks BeenBurned for BOTH authentications! You're welcome.
Apology unnecessary but accepted. The bag looks fine.
You're welcome. Congrats!
Thanks advance for offering such help.

Comments: Please comment if it is authentic, and the especially condition, such as the wear/tear on the edge, strap.
Just read 1st page saying comments on condition is not allowed. Welcome any personal opinion, appreciated.
Thanks! again!
Thanks. I was pretty sure it was fine but I wanted confirmation. The creed in the second one is ok for a China-made bag from 2001. I'm including photos of a China-made Patricia's Legacy and a Willis also from 2001 from a highly trusted seller.
Thanks for the quick reply.Unfortunately the seller's photos don't include clear pics of the creed patch and serial number. We almost always need those photos to authenticate since a lot of fakes have mistakes in the stamping but can look ok everywhere else.
If the seller can either post pics to the listing or send you readable photos of the creed and serial number we can take another look.
I don't know how you can see that in the picture. It is just a big blur to me. You are talking about the 4th picture? We don't just need to see the number. We need to see the entire creed. Some fakes have valid numbers but have other errors in the creed. Thanks for the quick reply.
I am not sure if you are referring to the last picture, if you click to the far right, the last photo
has series number "L9N-9870".
I wish I know how to upload the pic here

You do see the picture saying "Handcrafted in Mexico"? If so, that is the one I am referring to.I don't know how you can see that in the picture. It is just a big blur to me. Okay, now I see what the problem is. You gave us the link to a different listing that only had 4 pictures. That is the one we were looking at. This one looks fine. It is authentic. You do see the picture saying "Handcrafted in Mexico"? If so, that is the one I am referring to.
I compared to the tag in the following picture (which shall be a real bag)

The engraving of the bag from Ebay is not very deep . Sounds skeptical?
