Smaller items often don't have a leather creed inside. From what I can see, this looks authentic.
My fiance just got me this bag online and I'm pretty sure it is fake. It looks just like the other pics except mine is brown but it's tag says it was made in the Philippines. All my other coach bags were made in china and i know they make some bags in other countries as well and was wondering if the Philippines is one of them??? Can't seem to find a definite answer online.

Could someone please help authenticate this handbag?
This one scares me a bit. The code on the bottom of the creed looks funny to me. Seller said authentic I am hoping they are correct.

Thanks for everything! I am praying an eye for detail helps me make a good choice.

I'm sorry. I can't find the original post to know what bag you are talking about. Can you post pictures of your bag and the tag?

It's a genuine Signature Soft demi from 2005.

There are posts here at tPF when that's mentioned
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-763164-400.html#post23934108

http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/quick-question-about-where-coach-made-from-730279.html#post20981669

and it's also mentioned in the Salearea Guides posted at Ebay
http://reviews.ebay.com/Coach-Authenticity-Guides-Facts-and-Myths?ugid=10000000062607882

and if you Google "Coach made in Philippines" you'll find more examples. There's plenty of information online, you just have to know where to look.

BTW, having a bag that "looks just like other bags" doesn't prove that it's genuine. We need photos for that.

Hyacinth,
I have been referred to you as 'the expert' I have 17 vintage coach bags of the kind pictured in my Avatar, I am not worried about their authenticity but I would like to know the name of the model.
Thanks much!

Welcome to TPF. Since this is your first post, evidently you haven't yet posted pictures of your bag.
