It's listed on Ebay and the seller is selling it for a friend who is currently unavailable and traveling outside of the USA to India. She is guessing the bag was purchased in the past 5-7 years but is not sure and also doesn't know where her friend purchased it.
It has a serial number of A03-9061 and says Made in China.
The style number is correct for the Rambler's Legacy.
If the 'A' represents the month of January, would the '0' represent the year 2000?
I was wondering what the '3' represents. Does that indicate a China plant?
The creed looks OK in the photo but I don't really know enough to be sure and then she's not the original purchaser.
Does anyone know what the 'bullet stamp' on the upper-right corner of the creed means?
I've been reading your website forums a lot and love them but I'm a newbie to posting so I apologize if this is not where I should be posting this.

You posted in the correct place!

You're correct - the A is January, the 0 is 2000 and the 3 is the Coach "code" for a Chinese factory.

The "bullet" stamp means it was sent to a Coach outlet.

The bag is fine, though it's not Vintage.

So 'Vintage' means that it it is older? From any specific years?
Also, what does it mean if it was sent to a Coach Outlet?
I haven't been to many outlet stores since I live in the boondocks but I thought Coach did not sell these classic styles in their outlet stores.
Are the outlet stores for lesser quality items or discontinued items?

They all look ok, number 1 is a Sheridan Charleston Bag, 1992-93

My opinion is that "vintage" for Coach means the bag is at least 20-25 years old. The bag in question, made in 2000, would not fit that definition.

The "Rambler's Legacy", which is the style "name" of the bag, was introduced in 1989.

I guess Coach sends Classic bags to their outlet stores when they don't sell. The bullseye doesn't make the bag any less desirable.

You're right. There is a slip pocket on the back. You guys are so good! As for the creed number, the seller said that it's hard to photograph the creed stamp because the bag is small. Thanks for offering your opinion. I'll buy it.

CORRECTION: The Rambler's Legacy was introduced in 1998 NOT 1989 as stated in my original post #4311. Sorry for the misinformation. Addled brain and fumbling fingers!
