Along with the serial number the one at Etsy has a front flap that isn't quite "squared" enough, the sides and especially the bottom of the flap are just a bit too curved. The center part of the bottom edge of the flap should be a straight line.

And BTW, if you measure the distance to the right and left of the turnlock, you may find that the turnlock is off-center. Notice that the flap looks kind of crooked? That's because it IS. I'm getting a distance of 60cm from the center of the turnlock to the left flap seam vs. 64cm from the turnlock to the right seam.]


Wow!:tup: After reading your post, I compared the bag in question with the one on the catalog, and the one on Coach's current website. The difference is obvious. The flap seems longer and tapered too much. Comparing side by side really helps to distinguish the difference.
