A lady was watching me as I looked at it, and kept saying, "That ain't real. Put it back."
It felt and looked good so I went ahead and got it... Crossing my fingers now.
Also, apologies for the crappy cell pics.. It really is red!

It looks fine. I'm glad you ignored the "expert" who said "That ain't real". She probably thought it if wasn't made in China it wasn't authentic.

Thank you! I have to admit, I was already on the fence because of the redye job (there's still red on the zipper teeth, and some on the brass link the strap clip attaches to) and with her yammering and not leaving me to my own devices, I did set it down and walk away. But I couldn't stop thinking about it, and remembering all the "experts" who pop up here every now and then made me say "What the hay" and here we are.

Comments: I saw this Sophia for a good price and am asking the seller for more information, including better pictures. However, while researching, I see that the seller just bought this bag in late August for $250 with matching wallet.

You definitely have to ask the seller for clear large pictures of the actual bag and creed. There's no way I'd recommend buying without those. And the seller shouldn't be using the first seller's pics without permission.

There's no way to tell if it's genuine unless we have photos of what she's actually selling.

The first one may be ok but without a clear photo of the creed and serial number it's impossible to be sure.
The second looks ok.
