Lol!!! Love how you put that! But you are absolutely right. It's a shame tho as there are really nice ladies that just want to buy and sell their bags. :-\

I love it too! (trying to visualize teaching a pig to sing, lol)...and I am one of those ladies (hopefully y'all think I'm nice!)...I'm so addicted to Coach I buy and sell to surround myself in beauty. :-)

I recently found three older Coach leather bags at thrift stores and would like to authenticate before I put the effort into rehabbing them.

This one is my favorite - I believe is it is a 1997 Equestrian Zip, H7C 99802. The creed indicates United States as country of manufacture. I've been carrying it off and on, it feels great, iand it should be a pretty rehab. Dimensions are 12x7x3, with a 52" strap, tip-to-tip.

It looks ok.

I believe this thrift store purchase is a Companion, J0P-9076, so made in September of 2000, and according to the creed, country of manufacture is Costa Rica. Measurements ( approximate because it is so out of shape) are 7.5x7.5x2.5. Assuming this one is authentic and will rehab well, it will be raffled at my school to raise funds for the robotics team I coach.

This one is so beat up - I had no idea you could even abuse a handbag so much. Ink everywhere - it will be a rehab challenge! The leather is so soft - if it is not authenticate or doesn't clean up, I'll be covering this one in fur and beads for a friend who would love it funked up that way.

I think this one is a Soho Fletcher. The leather of the creed is really worn, so it is hard to read in the picture, but in strong light with a magnifier, it appears to read B7P 4150, and the country of manufacture is Costa Rica. Dimensions are 11x7.5x4.5. You can see lots of ink marks in the photos; I couldn't bear to photograph the ink explosion on the bottom of the inside. If this one cleans up it will be a miracle!
