Hi one last bag of my wife's that we are wondering about.Almost everything seems good with the bag the only concern is the hardware feels quite light compared to some of her other bags.
Thank you

Item: Black Legacy Wristlet 40708 (China, 2008?)
Seller: Savers $7
Comments: I really lucked out tonight! I wondered if the Coach items had been mismarked but I didn't ask any questions! Please give an opinion on authenticity and I'd appreciate any information you have about this wristlet. I have seen it called "Juniper" is that the style name? Thanks so much!

Juniper is one of the colors this wristlet came in. It was a dark, greenish color.

I have this wallet that i am hoping to have authenticated. I hope this is allowed in this section. And i am sorry for posting so much at once, it is so much easier for me to take a bunch of pictures put them on the computer and re-size them etc.. all at once rather than individually.
I forgot to mention that the zipper says ideal not ykk as I have seen most often.
Thank you in advance once again
Mike

It's from the Hamptons line that was made for the Factory stores, I don't remember the name. And Coach uses all different kinds of hardware, you can only compare details like that with other bags in exactly the same style and period.

Looks ok.

Could someone please help me authenticate this bag. the serial number looks a bit sloppy to me.
thank you in advance
Mike

Turkish creeds WERE sloppy, but I need to see a photo of the removeable clip that should be at one end of the strap, the one that's on the right side in the first photo. Oh, BTW, there's no need to take photos of the zipper mechanism since zippers stamped YKK don't prove anything. I'd rather see a longer-length shot showing the zipper pull and the strap end-to-end. Sometimes close-ups can be TOO close.

Hi this is my first post in the coach section i hope my pictures are ok. I am hoping someone can help me authenticate this bag.The bag is quite small and i am not sure of the name. I have never seen a bag with a creed stamp and no serial number before. The zipper is ykk, I had trouble getting a clear picture of it.
Thank you for your time
Mike

Again, YKK zipper don't prove a thing. That's why there's a statement in purple at the bottom of every one of my almost - sorry, over - twelve thousand posts at this forum saying so.

The bag looks ok.

Instead of bogus "guides" that spout nonsense and BS about zippers, I suggest reading these instead:

Well I pulled out of the Coach fb group on. I guess I upset some of the ladies there when I corrected their comments about Coach stores authenticating bags for people, how all bags from the outlet stores were mass produced and sub quality and how they could spot every fake a mile away. I also said it was illegal to sell a fake Coach. Then of course I suggested to the ladies who were concerned about the authenticity of their bags come here to ask because there were so many people there volunteering their "opinions" right down to the zippers. That rubbed the admins wrong as they felt they were qualified to determine fake or not. All in all I think a fb Coach buy, sell and trade groups are doomed from the start because there will always be those egos who freely and boldly give wrong information. :-/

I know, and they're all over the place, not just in private groups. Every forum including this one and the ones at Ebay have been invaded by know-it-alls who usually claim to be former Coach employees and who either get everything completely wrong, or who wait until one of the real specialists has authenticated something before throwing in their own "expert" opinion, usually with a bunch of CAPS and exclaimation points just to show how sure they are.

When you find a place like that where idiots are allowed and encouraged to post and re-post any scrap of nonsense or BS that they find on the internet and the Admins refuse to control it or even accept that the information may be completely wrong, it's probably better to leave. Trying to change things is like trying to teach a pig to sing.

Thanks for the links:) I have read them over & over but haven't memorized everything yet. So are you saying this bag is authentic then? Thanks so much for your time & have a great weekend :)

You don't have to memorize them, just save the text and the links so you know where to find them. Even I don't have them memorized and still re-read them once every month or two just to refresh my memory and see if any of the information may have changed - and I wrote them.

Thank you so much for all your speedy responses :D. Here are some additional pics.

Thank you again for your time and help. And sorry about the zipper talk and pictures, I was just trying to be detailed with my description, I did see your statement in purple but with the insane amount of zipper talk online I somehow felt the need to include it lol my bad.

I think I finally found a court bag too.
Thrift store find.
measures 9ish X 8ish x roughly 3 1/3

also found something I think is a Coach at a yard sale
The serial is throwing me though 808-9865.

Thanks much, I didn't see it in the fakes list, but I may have missed it. Maybe its just a unique serial number and not the mo/yr/plant-style number version?

They're both genuine and they both have unique serial numbers. Any genuine serial with no letters of the alphabet in it would have been a unique number, and questions about them should include measurements when possible.

The second one is probably a Bucket Bag from the Lightweights line, late 1980s.

Thanks again Hyacinth. Yeah, I forgot about the ###-#### , kept thinking the pre '94 codes were all ####-###. Plus at first glance I saw the 8 as a B and got discombobulated.

The probable bucket bag measures 11 x12x5.
