The first one is fake. That style never used a Lozenge lining, the strap looks like 2 different ones put together, the leather patch on the front is wrong, the color of the creed patch and lining are BOTH wrong, and that Hamptons Weekend Patchwork line wasn't even introduced until Spring of 2007 AND a style from 2004 would NEVER have had a 5-digit style number since those weren't even introduced until Summer 2006.

The second one's already been removed but the seller has MORE fakes listed, the denim Patchwork with the also-fake Logo or Lozenge lining, and the Sig C bag with the front clip.

The inside zipper pull is fake on the Patchwork and the creed stitching is a MESS, the fabric on the front Patch Pocket is also wrong.:

Comments: The measurements say 9" X 7" but on Coach website it is 10" X 10". I know it depends where they measured it but just want to be sure that it's not a fake. TIA

They both look fine. I don't know where Coach measures their bags, but I've often had a hard time getting the same dimensions.

The 1st one is from 2005

The 2nd is from 1997.

Thanks again ladies:)

Comments: Serial number doesn't look right. 2 numbers after the first letter.

You may want to check out the guides listed below. They will help you figure out what's up with Coach!

The bag in question is from 2001 and the second number is the code for a Chinese factory.

Anyone's welcome to have something authenticated as long as they follow the forum rules, DON'T try to block the authenticators from seeing their listings, and don't abuse the privilege by asking for too many authentications in one post or by asking for too many overall.

However, they also need to be careful of the "instant experts" with no authentication or posting history, like the ones who "worked for Coach once" or who can "spot a fake a mile away", like you mentioned. So if the Admin stops by and wants to know why I'm posting nasty comments about those instant experts, tell her to contact me for an explanation, or just read my comments.

Well I pulled out of the Coach fb group on. I guess I upset some of the ladies there when I corrected their comments about Coach stores authenticating bags for people, how all bags from the outlet stores were mass produced and sub quality and how they could spot every fake a mile away. I also said it was illegal to sell a fake Coach. Then of course I suggested to the ladies who were concerned about the authenticity of their bags come here to ask because there were so many people there volunteering their "opinions" right down to the zippers. That rubbed the admins wrong as they felt they were qualified to determine fake or not. All in all I think a fb Coach buy, sell and trade groups are doomed from the start because there will always be those egos who freely and boldly give wrong information. :-/

Thanks for the links:) I have read them over & over but haven't memorized everything yet. So are you saying this bag is authentic then? Thanks so much for your time & have a great weekend :)

The bag pictured in the auction is authentic in my opinion.

I understand it takes a long time to digest all the information in the guides. You will find yourself going back to them again and again.

Hi this is my first post in the coach section i hope my pictures are ok. I am hoping someone can help me authenticate this bag.The bag is quite small and i am not sure of the name. I have never seen a bag with a creed stamp and no serial number before. The zipper is ykk, I had trouble getting a clear picture of it.
Thank you for your time
Mike
