I bought it off of ebay. Thanks for showing me the rules =)
I'm just a noob... ;)
Thanks ladies!
No problem.

The reason we like to see the seller and history is because we want to verify that the seller uses her own pictures of her items, doesn't mix fakes in with authentic items, doesn't steal money from buyers and not ship items, etc.

Greetings, ladies.

After re-reading the recommended authenticity thread Hyacinth noted/wrote/compiled, I worry I may have fallen for a fake, but that's only based on my confusion over the serial numbers.

Except for the good creed closeup, these are the seller's original photos. It's a beautiful little thing, so I hope it's authentic. I've just never seen one like this, and the serial number has me confused. Any help would be appreciated.

It looks fine. It's a Whitney Mini Hobo. Yours is from 1999.

Cute bag!

It is the Legacy Small Pocket Zip from 2002.

Not exactly "vintage" in the true sense of the word, but it is older.

Very nice bag! Love the red ones!

:D

I found these three bags at a yard sale today. I have no idea if they are authentic or what they are called if they are. They were at the bottom of a box and the lady sold me all three for $5 so I figured they could be play purses for my daughters if they are fake. I will post one more with the final three pictures.

Both look fine.

Ok great! Here are a couple I am eyeing on ebay but am afraid to bid on. Should I be?

Also, the one that I just purchased came today. It looks fake to me on the outside, although I notice no major problems with the creed. Help?

Links to interpreting a serial number have been posted at the Answers To Authenticity Questions for a long time, if you really want to learn more about Coach you need to to read through that long thread especially the last few years of posts and keep the link Bookmarked so you can search it for information.

The mark on the corner of that creed is what Coach full-price stores stamp in an item they send to the outlets. It does NOT prove the item's authentic since we've seen it used several times in fakes too.

wow, sorry.
I did read through threads, I only found information on letters "K" and "M," I am looking to see if other letters are valid for manufacturing locations. I'll try searching again.

You're not going to find ANY information on manufacturing codes because Coach has never published any. All the info mentioned in other posts was collected by Coach experts from the creeds and stampings on genuine items and the only way to find out what the codes mean is to ask. Coach doesn't publish any information about codes, manufacturing, etc. And those of us who've collected all that information aren't going to publish it since that would just help the crooks make more accurate fakes.

Some of the codes still aren't 100 percent solid and seem to have multiple applications. Also if you keep reading the Answers to Authenticity Questions thread up to the recent posts you'll find a bit more information.

and more at Ebay:

Again, everything is deduction, NOT published information by the manufacturer. Keep in mind that the Answers thread is constantly updated including the Fake Serial Numbers list and the entire thing has to be read to find all the updated and corrected information.

The first one is a genuine Murphy Bag from 1997, the second is a genuine Station Bag from the same year, and the red one is a genuine Station Bag from 1995.

Nice finds for five bucks! :D
