The first and second listings are for a genuine Metropolis Flap bag from 1996 and 1997. The third listing is a complete mess and the description AND the serial number in the listing don't match the bag in the photos, which was made at least 10 years before the other 2 bags and can't be compared to either of them.

I have a quick question about those key fobs that can be found in some of the older coach bags. The Metropolis Flap i had authenticated doesn't have a key fob. It is also not lost because there is no little brass knob where the key fob would attach to. This one does have a key fob but is also a 1997 production.--->

Does that mean one of those bags is not authentic? Can bags of the same style have different features?

Hello, would anyone be able to authenticate this vintage coach? It has no serial, but creed stamp says 'made in united states', when I though all pre-serials were made in NYC.

Posting links to your own listings is usually considered "advertising" and is not allowed. And that bag is fake. There are several problems. You should read the valid Guides on serial numbers and creed stamps posted here at Ebay, since your information about creed stamps isn't accurate: Serial Numbers: http://reviews.ebay.com/Coach-Serial-Numbers-the-Basic-Facts?ugid=10000000034886433 Creeds; http://reviews.ebay.com/Coach-Creeds-the-Basic-Facts?ugid=10000000030821024 SALEAREA GUIDES http://search.reviews.ebay.com/members/salearea_W0QQcpnameZmembersQQprZsaleareaQQuqtZg

Hyacinth, did you notice this other listing from the seller whose listing was posted?

Was this bag was made by Coach? Note that the serial number is W7B-9927. And does a Willis have a handle on top?

I also have question about the turn locks. The turn lock on the backside looks like it was prenotched in those 4 spots where the little "thingys" are pressed on. I have almost 20 classic turnlock coach bags and not one does have those prenotched spots. I'm really starting to have doubts about this bag although the serial# is accurate.

The 1997 bag was Catalog Only and they probably changed the keyring holder in one or the other.

Then use your own judgement. I don't have all the answers.
