Could I get some help with authentication on this bag, the listia mods sent me here.

Item: I believe it's a Metropolis
Listing number: 5164665
Seller: ff731emt

I have listed this to the best of my knowledge, I've had the purse and wallet for years. My daughter just wanted a few things and I thought my bag might do well. The listing ends tomorrow, and now that the mods are not authenticating, but instead writing a disclaimer I'm worried any interest might now dwindle.

If more pix are needed, I'll be happy to supply.

Item: Brown Soho Mini Signature Coach Purse AND Mini Zipper Wallet

Listing Number: 5167917 (I am not 100% sure this is the listing number but it is what precedes the description in the URL. If there is another way to determine the listing number I would be happy to provide it.

Comment: As per moderator Phil's post on Listia all sellers and buyer are being asked to use this site to authenticate products. The purse in question is one I am selling. The auction ends at 10:30 this evening. I am posting a comment to the buyers to check that I already requested authentication so you don't get swamped. They may, however, feel better doing it themselves (I know I would as a buyer)

Thank you for this service...I will be sure to use it again in the future for my sales and purchases : )

Here's the link

http://www.listia.com/auction/5218712-very-rare-coach-neo-mini-backpack-with

This is dv8-6215 neo I bought this at a coach outlet store Many years ago.
Please let me know ASAP! Thanks
:)
From what I was told it was discontinued, any help would be appreciated!!
Thanks!!!!

There's NOTHING wrong with it. It's a Neo Mini Backpack from 1998. And it was discontinued, there's no problem with that. Except for manybe 2 dozen Originals, EVERY Coach bag gets discontinued within a few months to a year of their introduction. Unfortunately, I've seen many comments from some of the posters at Listia who add their comments in and who don't know much about genuine Coach. Often they don't have a clue about older Coaches or they're getting their information from those useless so-called Guides stinking up the internet. You yourself made that mistake with this nonsense you copied from this pile of horse poop: http://ihatefakecoach.blogspot.com/2007/11/ok-so-heres-deal. html?m=1 This site says real coach bags have YKK zippers (little known fact) so I'm adding pics of the zipper which u can clearly see is YKK Jul 17th, 2012 at 4:05:54 AM EDT by punxrawkprincess Somewhere in that Fake Serial Numbers list you mentioned, IT ALSO SAYS THAT HAVING YKK ZIPPERS DOESN'T PROVE THAT A COACH IS GENUINE. I suggest you go back and read that Guide again. And take the link to that Blogspot page you saved and Delete it and any information you copied from it, because it's BS. Please read some Guides that actually have CORRECT information, ESPECIALLY the ones about YKK zippers and about so-called Authenticity Guides! - http://search.reviews.ebay.com/members/salearea_W0QQcpnameZmembersQQprZsaleareaQQuqtZg

Both genuine, Metropolis Zip.

I also have question about the turn locks. The turn lock on the backside looks like it was prenotched in those 4 spots where the little "thingys" are pressed on. I have almost 20 classic turnlock coach bags and not one does have those prenotched spots. I'm really starting to have doubts about this bag although the serial# is accurate.

Turnlocks can be easily removed for cleaning or for replacement so it's always possible that a bag that is totally fine has a turnlock that's been switched out, etc.?

Hyacinth,
Thank you for taking the time to look at my purse and wallet.

On a different note, I have read several of you posts about "replica bags" as a result I have gotten rid of one Dooney in my collection that was pulled from Listia. I had listed it thinking it was real, after it was pulled I came here as directed by the moderator and found that a bag just like mine had been deemed a fake. I had thought it was genuine for many years and this site brought to my attention that it was not. After reading what you have said about these bags I am absolutely reformed. It's not right for co.s to make a bag that is not what it is claimed to be. By replicating bags and selling them it devalues the perception of the brand by others making cheap knockoffs and pushing them as real. I am going through the bags I have and getting rid of ones that I can say are fakes and in the future I will be sure to purchase bags from Coach Stores and Coach's online retail store. Due to your knowledge I have been able to search here on the forum and verify that several I have are genuine by other bags posted here. I appreciate what you do and just wanted to say thanks!! :D
