I think it's a style Coach called a Suspender Bag, mid-1970s probably, but DemRam should take a look at it. There were a few different styles with that strap but it looks like the one in Coach's 1976 booklet:

I'm done trying to keep Listia afloat too.

Not only has the listing for the really bad fake scribble bag been relisted after having been removed, but now, "Moderator Camila" posted to DISCLAIM Listia's responsibility even though the bag is deemed fake and even though she can look at the seller's history and see that the same fake was previously removed! Note that MOderator Camila's comment was posted hours after the bag was deemed as fake (for the second time in as many days.)

Done, done and DONE!

Thank you ladies. I have been wanting one of these for quite a while, and this one was a bargain - too good to pass up. I'm going to hang it on my wall! :D

I'm assuming the other person is NOT a tPF member? The other person needs to get off her duff and study Coach's history. Coach has re-used some style and line names over and over again. "Legacy" is probably the champion, including the ones coming this fall there have been at least 5 separate AND different Legacy lines that I know of. Madison, Gramercy, Sonoma, Bleecker, Hamptons, as well as Penelope are just a few of the names that have been recycled.

If your correspondant wants to post here and try to convince me that she's an expert on older Coaches, she's welcome to try. Meanwhile you might want to let her know that Coach did about a dozen Penelope styles in 2001 and 2002 including some fabric and leather combos, but most were leather like:

Penelope Satchel, style 9713

I was ready to accept whatever you provided as the name of the purse I guess (you how stubborn we ladies can be) but now, I'll happily take the name and adjust my title accordingly. Where would we be without you? with a closet full of fakes, that's where...hats off, thanks again!

BB is still the absolute BEST when it comes to recent styles. There's just no way anyone could become an expert in every style Coach has ever made, there are just too many. That's why I stick to the older "classic-era" styles and let people who really know the new ones handle the questions about almost anything with 5-number style numbers. You just have to choose one period to specialize in or you'll get totally overwhelmed.

I noticed a comment stating "Good thing you've got that picture of the Coach receipt posted so we know that it's 100% authentic!" :(

I dont know if this is authenticate or not but I do know that a Coach receipt can be easily faked and that isnt proof that the item is authentic!

I dont want to say... FYI.. until I know on this situation that the item is authentic

The keychain in the photos is genuine. A receipt doesn't prove a thing.

I don't think BeenBurned will be back. And no, they haven't been, sad to say. The expression "thrown under the bus" comes to mind.

That's all I'll say.
